The College of Cardinals elected Pope Francis’ successor.

1.4 billion Catholics around the world cheered the news.

But the new Pope’s dark secret made Trump supporters shake their heads in disbelief.

On the second day of the conclave, the Cardinals selected Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost – who chose the name Pope Leo XIV – to be the new leader of the Catholic Church.

The world – and especially all Americans – celebrated the fact that Leo was the first Pope to hail from the United States.

President Trump passed along his congratulations.

“Congratulations to Cardinal Robert Francis Prevost, who was just named Pope. It is such an honor to realize that he is the first American Pope. What excitement, and what a Great Honor for our Country. I look forward to meeting Pope Leo XIV. It will be a very meaningful moment!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

But Pope Leo is of the modern age.

And he is the first Pope to have active social media accounts.

The late Pope Francis turned into a divisive figure because Francis often evangelized for the gospel of globalism by promoting climate change policies and attacking Donald Trump for opposing open borders and mass migration.

During the last election, Francis absurdly compared opposing illegal aliens entering the country to aborting babies in the womb, saying both Trump and Kamala Harris were against life.

Francis told voters they had to pick between “the one who throws away the migrants as well as the one who kills children. Both are against life.”

Francis also ostracized Bishops who supported denying communion to pro-abortion politicians like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

And Pope Leo’s X account shows he’s cut from the same cloth.

Pope Leo shared a post on social media falsely accusing Trump of being a racist because Trump called violent illegal aliens “bad hombres.”

Leo also shared a post attacking Trump and El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele for defending a deal where El Salvador agreed to jail illegal alien terrorists deported from the United States.

“As Trump & Bukele use Oval to 🤣 Feds’ illicit deportation of a US resident (https://bit.ly/3ROMjnP), once an undoc-ed Salvadorean himself, now-DC Aux +Evelio asks, “Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed? How can you stay quiet?” the post read.

Leo also reposted a Bishop praying for George Floyd and smearing America as a racist country.

“We continue to pray for Mr. George Floyd and his family. In his honor, and as we prepare for Pentecost, we ask the Holy Spirit to unite us and heal our wounds. May all hatred, violence and prejudice be eradicated so that we may live in harmony and in the peace of Our Lord Jesus,” the post Leo shared by Bishop Burbidge read.

Leo also walked right up to the line of mocking Christianity itself when he reposted Democrat Senator Chris Murphy sneering at Americans for offering their thoughts and prayers instead of demanding the government ban and confiscate firearms in the wake of tragedy.

“To my colleagues: your cowardice to act cannot be whitewashed by thoughts and prayers. None of this ends unless we do something to stop it,” read the post Leo shared from Murphy.
