Stacey Abrams-Linked Group Under Investigation in Georgia

All hell is breaking loose in the Democrat Party.

Democrats have no idea how far the fallout will spread.

And now one top Democrat is staring at jail time.

Two groups linked to the two-time failed Georgia Gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams are now under investigation.

DOGE uncovered a $2 billion grant from the Biden administration given to Power Forward Communities to do work on solar panels – despite the group having never done this work before and only bringing in $100 in revenue.

In addition, the Abrams-linked New Georgia Project recently paid a $300,000 fine – the largest in state history of its kind – for violating campaign finance laws during Abrams’ failed 2018 Georgia Gubernatorial campaign.

Georgia Republicans in the state senate see both groups as an example of how Democrats illegally launder money through non-profits for political work.

State Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones promised accountability for any law-breaking, even if it meant criminally prosecuting Abrams.

“The people of Georgia were defrauded by Stacey Abrams. She’s now been forced to admit it and tried to get it to go away,” Jones declared.

“But Georgians want real accountability,” Jones added.

“With these subpoena powers, my office is going to get to the truth. In Georgia, nobody is above the law, even if they were a darling of MSNBC. Anyone who broke the law and stole from taxpayers, including Stacey Abrams, should go to jail.”

Democrats responded in predictable fashion by playing the race card, claiming Republicans in Georgia are only targeting Abrams and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (who is under investigation for a number of allegations) because they are black.

“I find it ironic that the ‘cut the red tape’ Republicans, pushing for our government to take a backseat, are now okay with wasting time and taxpayer dollars on performing political prosecution theater, specifically, now on a second politically involved black woman,” Senate Minority Leader Harold Jones II ranted.

“Working-class Georgians are asking for Medicaid expansion, lower cost of living, cheaper eggs and reproductive freedom,” Jones continued.

“All the GOP knows how to do is waste tax dollars on something that could be handled in a court of law.”

As for Abrams, she distanced herself from the New Georgia Project as fast as she could.

“The setbacks at New Georgia Project are disappointing and my thoughts are with those laid off,” Abrams said in a statement to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, noting that the group brought on “new leadership and a new legal entity” after she had announced she was running for governor.

“Regardless of the structure, I will never stop believing in the mission of ensuring every Georgian can make their voice heard,” she added.

“This is critical work, and I’m glad so many Georgians continue to carry that torch.”

Trouble appears to be brewing for Stacey Abrams – who was once so highly thought of by Democrats that Joe Biden considered naming her his running mate back in 2020.
