Eric Swalwell ran for President and thought he was going to become the next Governor of California.
Now, Swalwell’s career is left in tatters.
And these sick text messages just ruined Eric Swalwell.

California Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell made his name as one of the ring leaders of the Russia collusion hoax and served as an impeachment manager in the January 6 impeachment hoax.
Swalwell exploited those anti-Trump witch hunts to build a brand with the liberal base so he could run for higher office.
And Swalwell seized on that notoriety to jump into the California gubernatorial election to succeed Gavin Newsom as the frontrunner.
But now Swalwell’s campaign lies in tatters after a former staffer accused him of raping her.
Swalwell denied the allegation.
“These allegations are false and come on the eve of an election against the frontrunner for governor,” a statement from Swalwell read. “For nearly 20 years, I have served the public as a prosecutor and a congressman and have always protected women. I will defend myself with the facts and, where necessary, bring legal action. My focus in the coming days is to be with my wife and children and defend our decades of service against these lies.”
Before the story broke, a lawyer for Swalwell slapped the woman with a cease, later warning that she “made false statements accusing Mr. Swalwell of sexual assault and nonconsensual sexual encounter.”
But the San Francisco Chronicle published the bombshell allegation where the woman described how Swalwell, who was married for 17 years, exposed her genitals to her, and she performed oral sex on him.
“She said Swalwell, who is married and 17 years her senior, tried to kiss her in her car when she drove him home from a donor meeting one night. Driving him to another event weeks later, she said Swalwell pulled out his penis in the car and asked her to perform oral sex on him. She said she did so in a parking lot,” the Chronicle reported.
The woman claimed that in 2019, she met Swalwell out for drinks and became so intoxicated that she woke up the next morning with no recollection of having sex with Swalwell.
“In September 2019, the woman said, Swalwell invited her out for drinks, and she became so severely intoxicated that she does not remember the rest of the night. She said she woke up naked in Swalwell’s hotel bed and could feel the effect of vaginal intercourse. She said Swalwell distanced himself from her afterward and the relationship faded,” the report went on to say.
In 2024, the woman alleged that Swalwell forced himself on her at a gala in his honor.
“Five years later, the woman said, she attended an April 2024 charity gala where Swalwell was honored. The woman, who no longer worked for Swalwell, said they met for drinks afterward, during which she became so inebriated that she only remembers snippets of the night, including pushing Swalwell away and telling him, “No,” while he allegedly forced himself on her,” the Chronicle also reported.
The Chronicle went on to reveal that the woman documented this alleged sexual assault contemporarily through text messages to friends.
“The woman texted a friend three days later that she was “sexually assaulted” by Swalwell, according to messages reviewed by the Chronicle.
The woman wrote that she “blacked out” but “woke up once during it and even told him to stop at one point.”
“This happened one other time when I was working with him, but I convinced myself I was an equal party in it, even though the same pattern: I blacked out, and he had sex with me,” The woman wrote of the 2019 incident.
Swalwell has given no indication he intends to end his campaign, and now the Democratic race for governor has exploded into turmoil.
