Pam Bondi Refuses to Testify About the Epstein Files

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi has many questions to answer about the Epstein files.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer demanded answers.

But now Pam Bondi refused to tell James Comer one truth about Epstein that changes everything.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

The House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Bondi to testify in its Epstein files probe.

Bondi is ducking the subpoena, and the Department of Justice is assisting her in the evasion, claiming the subpoena is no longer valid since it was issued to her in her capacity as Attorney General.

“The Department of Justice has stated Pam Bondi will not appear on April 14 for a deposition since she is no longer Attorney General and was subpoenaed in her capacity as Attorney General,” a Justice Department spokesman told Meidas Touch’s Scott MacFarlane. “The Committee will contact Pam Bondi’s personal counsel to discuss next steps regarding scheduling her deposition.”

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) issued the subpoena after Bondi’s handling of the files created a cloud of suspicion.

Bondi told Fox News that the Epstein client list was “sitting on her desk,” only to later claim such a list existed.

The Justice Department also claimed there was no evidence that Epstein blackmailed anyone or that Epstein had any coconspirators in her sex trafficking operation.

Finally, the Justice Department claimed Epstein killed himself despite law enforcement never recovering the noose Epstein supposedly committed suicide with, the prison guard googling Epstein’s death minutes after he died, and a CBS analysis revealing surveillance camera footage likely showed an inmate entering Epstein’s cell block during the time he died.

Bondi’s refusal to answer questions is hurting President Trump, as Epstein was a Democrat who hung out with other Democrats.

However, Bondi’s lack of candor is creating suspicion in the minds of some Americans that she is protecting Trump even though there is no evidence that Trump did anything wrong.

Republicans on the House Oversight Committee aren’t about to allow Bondi to get away with evading testimony.

“The Department of Justice has stated Pam Bondi will not appear on April 14 for a deposition since she is no longer Attorney General and was subpoenaed in her capacity as Attorney General,” a House Oversight Committee Republican spokesperson’s statement read. “The Committee will contact Pam Bondi’s personal counsel to discuss next steps regarding scheduling her deposition.”

CNN legal analyst Elie Honig argued Bondi’s argument held no water.

“No, that’s a bogus argument, John,” Honig told host John King. “So here’s why: a subpoena is simply a command to a witness to provide relevant information, if they have any. As we sit here right now, former attorney general Pam Bondi has the same information that she had a week ago when she was still the sitting AG.”

Honig reiterated that the subpoena named Bondi and not the person currently serving as Attorney General.

“Now, DOJ has come up with this distinction of, well, she’s not the AG anymore. Therefore, the subpoenas are invalid. First of all, the subpoena is to Pam Bondi. It’s not the current occupant of the office. Second of all, if that subpoena meant whoever the current AG is, DOJ would be offering up Todd Blanche, which they’re not doing,” Honig added.

And finally, the committee subpoenaed former Republican and Democratic Attorneys General to testify about the Epstein files, so Bondi’s attempt to dodge the subpoena on those grounds held no weight.

“And third of all, John, this committee has already subpoenaed several prior AGs, including Eric Holder, Bill Barr, and Merrick Garland. So, this remains valid,” Honig concluded.
