Polls Show Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Hurts Joe Biden More Than Donald Trump

Every assumption Democrats have had about the upcoming 2024 election has turned out to be wrong.

The gravity of these mistakes is starting to set in.

And Joe Biden saw this scary poll that had Democrats in panic mode.

There was an emerging narrative in the media that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presence on the ballot would hurt Donald Trump more than Joe Biden.

Democrats and their note-takers in the press all thought Kennedy’s messaging about vaccine mandates, the war in Ukraine, and January 6 would appeal more to the anti-establishment voters who only turnout in Presidential election years and make up a large chunk of Trump’s base.

But the latest round of polling data showed just how wrong they were.

Rasmussen found Trump leading Biden by a bigger margin when Kennedy was included on the ballot.

And this wasn’t the only poll with this result.

In a head-to-head matchup, Trump led Biden by six points.

That lead ballooned to nine points when Kennedy’s name was included on the ballot.

Both The Hill and Emerson’s polling of battleground states Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin found Trump’s lead increasing in five of those states when Kennedy’s name was included.

And in Arizona and Michigan, Trump held the exact same lead in a race with Kennedy as he did in a straight-up contest with Biden.

This forced Democrats to spring into action.

The same constellation of organizations that pressured the center-left group ‘No Labels’ to field a no-party candidate began pouring money into the battleground states to destroy Kennedy.

Kennedy is now facing billboards funded by the Democratic National Committee, trackers paid for by the American Bridge Super PAC to follow his every step on the campaign trail, and the Clear Choice Super PAC dumping money into digital ads running in the swing states.

Third Way is another left-wing group now trying to choke off Kennedy’s appeal to Biden voters.

Third Way’s president, Matt Bennett, said the focus of their efforts is trying to convince disaffected Biden voters not to cast a protest ballot for Kennedy.

“It needs to be done in a very targeted way,” Bennett stated. “We have to convince soft Biden voters that these candidates are not safe places to park their vote, so to do that, we’re going to focus on a very narrow range of voters in swing states.”

Bennett is worried the earlier happy talk in the media about Kennedy hurting Trump more than Biden had Democrats lulled into a false sense of security.

“The talk is, ‘well, if it hurts Trump more, clearly he’s freaking out about it, now everyone can breathe easier,’ and I don’t think that’s right,” Bennett added. “[Third party candidates] need to stay a top concern, and it’s important for people to understand that.”

The problem for Biden’s handlers is that this election is a referendum on Biden.

And, at this point, there’s nothing they can do to convince voters that Biden’s term in the White House has been a success.

The voters saying they would cast a ballot for Kennedy are more likely to stay home on election day than support Biden.

If these Americans wanted to vote for Biden, they would already be telling pollsters they plan to back him on November 5.
