CNN Analyst Admits Biden’s Plan to Focus on Abortion is a Bad Campaign Strategy

Joe Biden was blindsided by the news.

2024 isn’t going the way his handlers planned.

And Biden will break down in tears when he hears this fatal conclusion.

Joe Biden just spent $30 million on ads in key swing states hoping to turn the election into a referendum on abortion-on-demand.

Thanks to millions of dollars from Big Labor and Hollywood, Democrats were able to win ballot initiatives in red states like Ohio and Kansas to enshrine abortion up until the day of birth in state constitutions.

So with abortion-on-demand measures on the ballot in swing states like Arizona, Nevada, and Florida this fall, Biden’s handlers thought he could run that strategy nationally.

But Biden got some bad news from CNN about how this strategy is already looking to be an abysmal failure.

Data analyst Harry Enten began by giving the top-line polling data on abortion-on-demand referendums.

“In Arizona, 59% believe that abortion should be always or mostly legal. In Nevada, two-thirds, 66%. Now in Florida, where all the news is developing this morning, 57% of registered voters say that in fact, abortion should be legal up to 24 weeks,” Enten stated.

Host John Berman asked Enten if this data was good news for Biden.

Enten told viewers that the polling data on the abortion ballot initiatives is nothing more than fool’s gold.

And that’s because, while Biden leads Trump on the abortion issue, Trump leads Biden on every other issue.

“Yeah, you love the fact that abortion is in the news because would Biden or Trump do a better job? This is a national, look at abortion. Biden leads on this measure by 14 points. It’s by far his best issue,” Enten stated.

“The economy, Trump leads. Immigration, Trump leads, foreign conflicts, Trump leads. And even on preserving democracy, which is obviously been a focal point of the Joe Biden campaign. He only leads on issue by this issue by four points. So abortion being in the news is something that Joe Biden wants, because it’s the issue that he runs most ahead of Donald Trump on,” Enten added.

But where Biden’s strategy fell apart is just 23 percent of voters said abortion will determine their vote in November.

“Yeah. So all right. You see this 14-point lead for Joe Biden. But will abortion be important for votes, for folks in their voting patterns? So in our new CNN poll, how does abortion affect your vote for major offices? Candidates must share their views. Only 23%, John. Only 23% of Americans say that candidates must share their views on abortion,” Enten continued.

Enten pointed out that, of that 23%, not everyone is with Biden based on the issue of abortion alone.

“So even if they agree with Joe Biden, it doesn’t necessarily mean they vote for him. And more than that, John, when we look at the top issues, the nation’s most urgent issues, look where abortion is on this list. It’s all the way down at 5%. The issues that are at the top of this list are immigration and the economy, which of course are Donald Trump’s best issues,” Enten added.

Gallup showed for the third straight month in a row that voters list immigration as the number one issue.

Other polls show the economy.

Abortion is always way down the list.

By focusing all of his money and attention on abortion, Biden is leaving a wide open playing field for Trump to resonate with voters about the issues that concern them the most.

That’s why all of Trump’s messaging focuses on hammering Biden for creating the border and inflation crisis.

Polling data is showing just how badly Biden gambled by betting everything on abortion.

Worse still, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average, Trump still leads Biden by 5 points in Arizona and 4.5 points in Nevada – even with Biden’s referendum on abortion-on-demand.
