White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is shaking up the briefing room.

But Leavitt has upset some normal allies.

And Karoline Leavitt got into a fight with one person that put jaws on the ground.

The White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) is a cabal of leftwing media outlets that allow liberal bias to permeate all media coverage based on who it selects to make up the press pool.

Press poolers cover every statement and movement of the President as well as asking him questions.

By selecting leftwing reporters to cover the President, every media in America is forced to use accounts of the President’s words and actions that have been framed by political opponents.

Karoline Leavitt figured enough was enough and announced the White House press team would select the pool members to ensure all media outlets received the same opportunity to cover the President.

But Megyn Kelly took issue with Leavitt’s move during an interview with Buck Sexton of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show and made the incorrect claim that Leavitt was attacking the independence of the press.

“The other thing about this that makes me somewhat uncomfortable. And I’m all for pushing back on a left-wing bias, I don’t have to prove that to anybody. But I do think the independence of the press is important,” Kelly began.

Kelly conceded that the media as a whole went off the deep end with Trump hatred, but she still maintained that the White House shouldn’t pick the press pool that covers the President.

“I realize the press has lost its mind, but it’s written right into the Bill of Rights that yeah, a free press is one of our most fundamental values, and I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the White House saying, ‘This is who will cover me. This is who I will allow to cover me at all.’ It’s one thing to say to the AP, ‘F you, you don’t-, you’ve lost your right to be in these intimate spaces,’” Kelly continued.

Kelly claimed the next Democrat President could then exclude all right-leaning outlets and only take questions from MSNBC and other leftist organizations like the Associated Press.

“But there is a difference in saying, ‘We will decide, not you members of the press who gets to come into every space and ask questions of the president.’ I mean, we could be in a Democratic administration next, where they’re like ‘Nobody other than MSNBC and, you know, the, the AP can have access and ask questions,’” Kelly stated.

That’s already what happened under Joe Biden.

Fox News was never called on during any of Joe Biden’s scripted press conferences where reporters submitted questions in advance.

And Karine Jean-Pierre went more than a month without calling on the New York Post.

Leavitt is just making the left live under their own rules.
