Jill Biden was the loudest voice demanding Joe Biden stay in the race following his abysmal June 27 debate performance.
When Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama organized a coup to depose Biden, the first lady fought back.
Jill Biden clearly loves the trappings of power such as flying on Air Force One and living in the White House.
Jill Biden was so drunk with power that she instructed the Marine Corps band to play “Fanfare for the First Lady” – her version of “Hail to the Chief” – as her walk-up music.
The White House only shelved this monument to ego because it became public.
But now that Joe Biden is in his final days in office, Jill Biden has some scores to settle.
The Daily Mail reported that on Jill Biden’s hit list are the Obamas, former and current White House staffers, and members of the media who piled on Joe Biden after the debate with Donald Trump and forced him out of the race.
“Jill views Democrats on Capitol Hill, the [wider] party, the Obamas, staff inside and outside the White House, the media, and all of Washington DC with such misguided resentment that I can’t imagine she [isn’t] encouraging [Joe] to burn the whole thing down, despite his better judgment,” a top Democrat Party source told the Daily Mail.
But Jill Biden doesn’t resent anyone more than Nancy Pelosi.
It was Nancy Pelosi’s private and public pressure campaign that finally forced Joe Biden to capitulate.
“A particular target for the First Couple is said to be former house speaker Nancy Pelosi, who led the effort to push Biden out of the 2024 election race – personally calling him and demanding he quit in the hours before he withdrew on June 21,” the Daily Mail’s story continued.
The Bidens had been friends with Pelosi for decades.
But that’s all out the window now.
“The pair had been friends for some 50 years, but a wounded Biden has since been giving her the silent treatment. Any repair in relations is thought to be unlikely,” the Daily Mail added.
Joe Biden coming out for a ban on congressional stock trading was no coincidence in light of this reporting.
No member of Congress is more infamous for managing to always come out ahead in their stock trades than Nancy Pelosi.
It’s led to rampant speculation by many Americans that there is some funny business going on.
“Her estimated net worth skyrocketed at the onset of the Great Recession, going from $31.4 million in 2008 to $101.1 million in 2010, a 220 percent increase in a window where the S&P 500 decreased by 13 percent.
“The speaker also reaped a significant return during the COVID-19 pandemic, seeing her estimated net worth jump from $106 million in 2019 to $171.4 million in 2021, an increase of 60 percent,” the Washington Free Beacon exclusively reported.
Members of Congress playing the stock market and getting rich is about as swampy as it gets.
If Jill Biden wanted to exact revenge on Nancy Pelosi, she couldn’t have picked a more politically devastating field of battle than a ban on congressional stock trading.
