Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made her fair share of enemies over the years.

Not all of them are on the right.

And a top Democrat called out Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for this sick failure.

It turns out that not every Democrat is keen about the idea of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez being the new leader of the party.

One of those Democrats is James Carville, famous for helping Bill Clinton get elected to the White House back in 1992.

Even though Clinton is loathed by Republicans for many reasons, his policies in the mid-90s would be unrecognizable for Democrats today.

Carville sees this and is concerned progressives like Ocasio-Cortez will drag the party even further away from a politically viable agenda.

And he’s not being shy in speaking out against Ocasio-Cortez and warning Democrats what will happen if she seizes control of the party.

According to NewsNation, “Democratic strategist James Carville says the party should focus on what works in swing states, not deep-blue areas like those of Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.”

“Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez, two progressives, are currently traveling the country on their ‘Fighting Oligarchy’ tour as the Democratic Party tries to chart a path forward after November’s defeat.”

Carville has very left-wing views on a number of issues, but believes socialism is something most Americans won’t be able to stomach and the evidence shows that he’s right.

“When asked if the tour could ‘galvanize’ the party, Carville said it’s ‘fine’ but pointed out that Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez ‘come from places that they can’t lose,’” NewsNation reported.

“Carville said he wants to hear more from ‘people that are running in places that they could lose.’”

“He said he has more respect for politicians who can win close elections and takes into consideration ‘where somebody comes from’ and the ‘partisan lean of the electorate that they’re looking at.’”

“In February, the longtime Democratic strategist advised his party to ‘play dead’ and allow President Trump to self-destruct from his unpopular policies.”

The point Carville seems to be making is that Ocasio-Cortez and Sanders have the flexibility to be as socialist as they want because they are representing deep-blue constituencies.

However, in swing districts in Michigan, they won’t be able to sell those socialist views.

Republicans, on the other hand, are surely thrilled to see Ocasio-Cortez elevated as the new leader of the party.

If she takes over, Republicans are going to have a lot of victories ahead of them.
