Attorney General Pam Bondi came under fire for botching the release of the Epstein files.
But now Bondi just made a bad situation worse.
And Pam Bondi just got called out for this sick sucker punch to Trump supporters.
As Conservative Reboot reports:
In his first term, Attorney General Jeff Sessions nearly derailed Trump’s presidency by allowing the Russia collusion hoax witch hunt to snowball.
Then Attorney General Bill Barr broke with Trump over the 2020 election.
Trump thought he had an Attorney General he could trust in Pam Bondi.
However, Bondi just stabbed Trump supporters in the back.
At issue is a lawsuit by the Silencer Shop Foundation (SSF), which is suing to overturn th 1934 National Firearms Act.
SSF contends that the Big Beautiful Bill’s elimination of the tax stamps for some firearms, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and accessories like suppressors means the law is no longer valid since the taxes are producing $0 in revenue.
This is the same argument that a lower court used to rule the Obamacare individual mandate unconstitutional after Trump’s 2017 tax cut bill reduced the tax penalty to $0.
SSF argued that “[t]he law’s only effect is to create burdensome regulations, slow approval times, and a federal registry of law-abiding citizens who wish to exercise their rights” and that the NFA was now “nothing more than a restriction and registration scheme.”
The Justice Department responded with a 48-page memo defending the Constitutionality of the most expansive gun control scheme on the books.
Pam Bondi defending gun registration and gun control incensed Second Amendment rights advocates.
Gun Owners of America (GOA) slammed Bondi for committing the “ultimate betrayal” on the Second Amendment.
The group ripped Bondi for arguing that a tax that produces $0 in revenue was still a “valid tax.”
“In an ultimate betrayal of the 2nd Amendment, the Trump admin is DEFENDING the archaic National Firearms Act of 1934,” GOA wrote on X.
“@TheJusticeDept supports gun registration under the Necessary & Proper and Commerce Clauses, says the $0 NFA tax is still a “valid” tax,” GOAD continued.
GOA slammed Bondi for adopting the arguments of the left to ban guns pointing out that her memo referred to regular firearms as “weapons of war” worthy of regulation.
Channeling @bradybuzz and @Everytown hysteria,@AGPamBondi argues that short-barreled rifles and shotguns are “weapons of war.”
You know… precisely the sort of weapons the Framers intended the Second Amendment to protect. https://t.co/MNxLglG0ZX pic.twitter.com/cFNW833YJb

And even worse, GOA highlighted language in Bondi’s memo that one day could be used to “ban every handgun in America.”
🤯@AGPamBondi just made the argument for banning EVERY HANDGUN IN AMERICA. https://t.co/MNxLglGyPv pic.twitter.com/yIfCfxc6Qs

Pam Bondi’s already come under fire for the slow pace of indictments against deep state operatives who plotted coups against President Trump in his first term.
Bondi now coming out against Second Amendment rights won’t win her any friends.
