The Democrat Party lacks leaders.
Leftwing Senator Elizabeth Warren thought she could fill the void.
But Elizabeth Warren stepped in it with this bad move.
As American Media Watchdog reports:
Some Democrats Want to Double Down on Supporting Extreme Candidates
If Democrats continue to respond to their string of election losses by becoming more extreme and doubling down on their unpopular agenda, it could destroy their party for many years.
Some Democrats recognize that and are trying to bring their party back to the center, at least a little bit, but others seem to think that the solution is to become more extreme and socialist.
Those who are supporting the campaign of Zohran Mamdani in New York fall into the latter group.
Mamdani has a track record of calling for things like “seizing the means of production,” a Marxist revolutionary cry.
He is clearly unqualified to run one of the biggest cities on the planet, and many Democrats haven’t endorsed him.
Elizabeth Warren, however, decided to write a glowing article about him in the pages of Rolling Stone magazine.
In doing so, she might end up making Mamdani the face of the Democratic Party, which would make them even less appealing to voters.
Elizabeth Warren Endorses the Most Extreme Candidate of All
Here is part of what she said: “Zohran Mamdani pulled off an inspiring 12-point victory to become the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York. How did he do it? He campaigned relentlessly on lowering costs for families, helping him build a grassroots movement so strong that millions of dollars in attack ads couldn’t touch him. On primary election night, Andrew Cuomo conceded.”
“The people picked Mamdani, but it turns out there are some billionaires and Wall Street CEOs who can’t stand the idea of a mayor who wants them to pay their fair share to create a city that everyone can afford.”
It’s clear that Warren is throwing herself completely behind Mamdani’s campaign.
She is doing this despite the fact that he himself has called for revolutionary action to overthrow the American system.
Her op-ed continues, “Mamdani has specific ideas for making New York more affordable, and he’s willing to stand up to ultra-powerful special interests to turn these plans into reality.”
“Mamdani has charged ahead with plans to make New York more affordable, and he’s showing how to pay for it by taxing the ultra-rich and giant corporations. That may not make him popular with the richest New Yorkers, but he’s willing to let Adams and Cuomo suck up to those guys. Mamdani is fighting to make New York work for working people.”
This will obviously make the Democratic Party less politically viable. Whether conservatives should celebrate it is a different story.
Marxists like Mamdani may have a harder time winning general elections than moderate Democrats, but they can do much more damage if they do win.
In Mamdani’s case, for example, it seems that he is going to be the next mayor of New York City.
So while this could lead to Democrats winning fewer elections, it could also lead to much more chaos and disorder in America.
