Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is weighing a Presidential run.
Ocasio-Cortez made some powerful enemies.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just got attacked by the last person she ever suspected.
As American Media Watch Dog reports:
Many Democrats and Liberals are Uncomfortable with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
There is a clear divide within the Democratic Party about whether socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should be the new leaders of the party, or whether Democrats should distance themselves.
Even though the “moderate” wing of the party is still very liberal on just about every issue, they have always been uncomfortable with the word “socialism” and they are not crazy about using that term.
The fact that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other supposed “rising stars” like Zohran Mamdani embrace that term so eagerly scares the daylights out of some people within the party.
That’s why they are fighting an uphill battle to try to convince other Democrats to reject these politicians and to stick with more mainstream Democrats.
Mark Cuban is technically not a Democrat, but he was one of Kamala Harris’s key supporters in 2024 and clearly has liberal views.
But he apparently thinks Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not the right person to lead the party and recently had some public words about her that were not so nice.
Mark Cuban Gives Ocasio-Cortez Serious Criticism After Trump Deal
According to Benzinga, “Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary have weighed in on President Donald Trump’s controversial deal with Nvidia Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., with Cuban praising it as a progressive move and O’Leary calling it corporate ‘blackmail.’”
“On Monday, billionaire entrepreneur Cuban took to X, formerly Twitter and applauded President Trump’s 15% revenue-sharing agreement with Nvidia and AMD, viewing it as a bold and progressive form of taxation.”
“Cuban suggested that the move was something Democratic figures like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) could never pull off, despite their advocacy for wealth redistribution.”
The fact that Cuban was praising President Trump is notable in and of itself, as he has a long history of being fairly hostile to Trump, including during the 2024 election where he supported Harris.
But Cuban apparently could not find anything bad to say about Trump’s recent deal, and so he summoned the courage within himself to come out and say something nice about Trump.
The article continues, “Cuban also acknowledged the irony of the situation, suggesting that Democrats should celebrate the move for its progressive tax structure.”
Cuban evidently feels that Trump has done a better job getting the outcomes that progressives claim to want than even the progressive politicians themselves could have ever done.
That’s why he felt that he had no choice but to heap praise on Trump for this deal, which he says could have never been struck by someone like Ocasio-Cortez.
After all, Trump has relationships with large portions of the business community, while it would be difficult for Ocasio-Cortez to ever build such relationships given her ideological leanings.
Trump was able to leverage those relationships into a deal that Cuban feels is going to be great for America, and Cuban was not shy about saying so, and criticizing Ocasio-Cortez.
