An assassin murdered Charlie Kirk by shooting him in the neck while Kirk spoke at an event at Urah Valley College.
Despite efforts to save Kirk’s life, Kirk succumbed to his injuries,
Confusion, anger, and prayer were the responses from most Americans.
Kirk’s murder was the latest entry on the list of acts of left-wing political terrorism.
Democrats believe in never letting a tragedy go to waste.
Democrats seized on Kirk’s killing to push for gun control and attack President Trump.
Instead of addressing the wave of left-wing political violence targeting Trump and his supporters, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed the answer was banning and confiscating firearms from the American people.
“We are in a position where the American people are looking to us to do something about this – every single day, people are dying due to gun violence in America, and every single day, there are people in this building that continue to vote against doing anything,” Ocasio-Cortez began.
Democrats spent years smearing Trump supporters like Kirk as fascists, Nazis, racists, and bigots.
Instead of engaging in self-reflection, Ocasio-Cortez disgracefully tried to tie Kirk’s assassination to a transgender terrorist slaughtering students at a Catholic school in Minneapolis to falsely claim America suffered from a gun problem.
“We have a political assassination that happened at the same time as a school shooting, where children are dying on the same day, a week after a shooting at a Catholic school, where children were gunned down while praying,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ocasio-Cortez wrapped up by demanding Republicans cave in to Democrats demands to seize firearms.
“Are we going to do something, or are we going to argue over rhetoric? We have to have gun safety legislation and stop this,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
Other Democrats pounced on Kirk’s assassination to try to bolster their 2028 ambitions.
Illinois Democrat Governor J.B. Pritzker falsely blamed President Trump and January 6 for Kirk’s murder.
“I think the president’s rhetoric often foments it. We’ve seen the January 6 rioters who clearly have tripped into a new era of political violence. And the president? What did he do? Pardoned them. I mean, what kind of signal does that send to people who want to perpetrate political violence? Not a good one,” Pritzker ranted.
Democrats lost in 2024 in large part because they alienated voters with weird policies on transgenderism.
Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and J.B. Pritzker being unable to show simple humanity after an assassin murdered a 31-year-old husband and father of two will continue to highlight the failures of Democrats to appeal to normal people.
