Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders led the charge on Democrats shutting down the federal government to force Republicans to fork over taxpayer money to fund healthcare for illegal aliens.
Democrats think they can force President Trump and Congressional Republicans to blink using the threat of COVID-era Obamacare subsidies expiring at the end of the year.
However, Republicans haven’t budged.
Democrats passed these subsidies under Joe Biden on a party-line vote that barely got across the finish line.
The government shutdown is now in its second week, and Democrats are terrified of President Trump exercising his executive authority under Article 2 of the Constitution to cancel more Democrat spending projects and initiate mass firings of deep state bureaucrats.
Bernie Sanders attempted to up the ante on the shutdown through incendiary rhetoric about how Republicans will kill Americans if the shutdown persists and the Obamacare handouts expire.
“Republicans are doubling our insurance premiums. They are throwing 15 million people off their health care. As a result, tens of thousands will unnecessarily die so that the 1% can get a trillion dollars in tax breaks. Unacceptable. We cannot allow it,” Sanders told left-wing CNN news presenter Kaitlan Collins.

Critics contend that Sanders falsely claiming Republicans want to kill Americans is something to take lightly.
Not in the wake of the growing wave of left-wing political violence.
A pro-transgender terrorist assassinating Charlie Kirk and Antifa insurrectionists ambushing ICE officers were just the latest examples of the growing threat of left-wing political terrorism.
The leftist violence goes back much further than these recent events.
In 2017, a former Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer. attempted to assassinate Republican members of Congress at a baseball field.
The would-be assassin opened fire on the Republicans and nearly killed House Majority Leader Steve Scalise.
This shooting took place during the attempt by House and Senate Republicans to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Leftist politics motivated the Sanders supporter to shoot at Republicans.
“Trump is a Traitor. Trump Has Destroyed Our Democracy. It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co,” the man wrote on his Facebook page.
“Republicans are the Taliban of the USA,” the shooter also wrote on social media.
On the heels of the Kirk assassination and the attacks on ICE facilities and agents, many Americans are wondering why Democrats like Sanders are dialing up their inflammatory rhetoric.
