Nancy Pelosi Loses it Over the Idea AOC is Driving the Government Shutdown

There is a power struggle underway inside the Democrat Party.

The old guard is feeling the heat.

And J.D. Vance caused Nancy Pelosi to snap by speaking one simple fact.

As per Conservative Reboot reports:

Vice President J.D. Vance told Americans that Chuck Schumer shut down the government over taxpayer-funded healthcare for illegal aliens because he feared Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would challenge him in a 2028 primary if he didn’t pick this fight.

“To the American people who are watching: the reason your government is shut down at this very minute is because, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of congressional Republicans—and even a few moderate Democrats—supported opening the government, the Chuck Schumer/AOC wing of the Democratic Party shut down the government. They said to us, “We will open the government, but only if you give billions of dollars of funding for healthcare for illegal alien,” Vance stated.

The leftwing base erupted in anger last March when Schumer provided the votes for a continuing resolution to freeze spending until the September 30 government funding deadline.

Polls soon showed Schumer trailing Ocasio-Cortez by 19 points in a hypothetical 2028 Senate primary.

A reporter asked Nancy Pelosi about Chuck Schumer forcing a government shutdown out of fear of Alexandria Ocaiso-Cortez challenging him in a primary.

Pelosi proceeded to flip out.

“Why are you saying such a ridiculous thing?” Pelosi snapped.

The reporter said he was simply quoting Ocasio-Cortez, saying Republicans should negotiate with her to end the shutdown, implying she was the one calling the shots.

“I’m just quoting what AOC said. She said, “Go to her office directly.” Do you think there’s any credibility to that?” the reporter replied.

Pelosi, who has feuded with Ocasio-Cortez in the past, then mocked Ocasio-Cortez as a neophyte who is in over her head and who should let the grown-ups in the party handle the shutdown negotiations.

“She’s wonderful. She’s a real team player and the rest of that. You started by saying Republicans saying that she’s directing this. She is not. Hakeem Jeffries is,” Pelosi added.

“This takes a lot of experience, a lot of unity from the caucus in terms of the point of view. And that’s what this is. She’s an articulate spokesperson for her point of view. Hakeem Jeffries is leading it,” Pelosi concluded.
