Democrats hoped to flood Republican Congressional town halls with planted protestors to create a false sense of the country rising up in opposition to President Trump – the same way Democrats facing angry town halls from actual voters in 2009 presaged the Tea Party wave in 2010.
It turns out one aspect of that strategy is playing out.
But the anger is pointed at Democrats.
It’s Democrat members of Congress facing hoards of their own voters denouncing them in town hall meetings.
“Democratic members of Congress, back home in their districts for the last week, have been encountering a level of anger and hostility that some see as reminiscent of the 2010 Tea Party wave,” Axios reported.
Axios reported Democrats are worried this could lead to a raft of unelectable socialist candidates winning primary elections in 2026 and costing Democrats a chance to win back control of the House and Senate.
“The dynamic could spill over into 2026 primaries, lawmakers tell Axios, with the infuriated grassroots attempting to throw out House and Senate Democrats they see as unprepared to take on Trump,” Axios reported.
Some Democrats burst out crying over how much their own voters hate them.
“They hate us. They hate us,” one Democrat tearfully told Axios.
This Democrat told Axios the base is demanding armed resistance and violence in the streets to stop Trump.
“Another thing I got was: ‘Democrats are too nice. Nice and civility doesn’t work. Are you prepared for violence?’” this Democrat added.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is the leading figure whipping up this lunacy on the left, telling crowds her fellow Democrats are cowards and unwilling to fight President Trump.
“We need a Democratic Party that fights harder for us… one thing I love about Arizonans is that you all have shown that if a US senator isn’t fighting hard enough for you, you’re not afraid to replace her with one who will and win,” Ocasio-Cortez told a crowd in Arizona.
Why is Ocasio-Cortez ginning up this hatred?
Because it’s setting her up to inherit the Bernie Sanders base when she runs for President in 2028.
“Though there is little agreement about who will emerge to guide progressives into a post-Sanders era, virtually everyone interviewed said there was one clear leader for the job: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York,” the New York Times reported.
