Adam Schiff is picking up right where he left off.
Schiff is starting Trump’s second term as the chief antagonist in Congress.
And Adam Schiff wants one fight with Donald Trump that will leave you red with rage.
Adam Schiff chaired the House Intelligence Committee from 2019 to 2023.
Republicans kicked Schiff off the committee when they retook the majority in the 2022 midterm because of how Schiff abused his position to lead the Russian collusion hoax and the Ukraine impeachment hoaxes.
Schiff wasn’t chastened at all.
This November, Schiff won his election to the United States Senate.
And Schiff wants to once again position himself as the champion of the deep state.
Schiff generated the Russia collusion hoax 2.0 to target Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s nominee to serve as Director of National Intelligence.
In a post on social media, Schiff falsely claimed Gabbard was a Russian spy whom America’s allies couldn’t trust with intelligence.
“Tulsi Gabbard combines a lack of experience with poor judgment, not a good combination in someone who would lead our intelligence agencies. If our allies don’t believe she can be trusted with intelligence, they will stop sharing. And the American people will be less safe,” Schiff wrote on X.
Schiff’s sole basis for this smear was the fact that Gabbard opposed Barack Obama’s war in Syria and Joe Biden’s war in Ukraine.
The Economist explained what this was all about.
Section 702 of the FISA Act is up for renewal in 2026.
“The bureau might also be checked in other ways. Mr Trump and Ms Gabbard are both opposed to Section 702 of the Foreign Surveillance Intelligence (FISA) Act, which authorises electronic surveillance on American soil. It was renewed this year after a fierce debate in the Senate but will lapse in 2026,” the Economist wrote.
Then FBI Director James Comey used Section 702 of the FISA Act to illegally spy on Donald Trump’s 2016 Presidential campaign during the Russia collusion witch hunt.
Gabbard opposes unconstitutional domestic spying and correctly noted that the FISA Courts turned into a rubber stamp for the FBI to obtain warrants to spy on Americans.
“The [FISA] court has proven to be a dependable rubber stamp for government requests,” Gabbard wrote.
Gabbard is 100 percent correct in this diagnosis.
The FBI violated bureau protocol by using the fake Christopher Steele Russia collusion dossier as the sole basis for a judge authorizing a warrant to spy on former Trump campaign foreign policy aide Carter Page.
The Russia collusion hoax was the greatest political crime in American history.
Trump and Tulsi Gabbard want to bring the FBI in accordance with the Constitutional procedure of obtaining a warrant in order to ensure the FBI never weaponizes its spying capabilities against Americans again.
Critics contend Adam Schiff is fighting to sink Gabbard’s nomination so the deep state has all the tools at its disposal to stage another coup against Donald Trump in his second term.
