Fani Willis can’t get out of the bad way she’s in.
Bringing lawfare against Donald Trump proved to be a major mistake.
And Fani Willis is going to hate when everyone sees this video.
As Swamp Digest reports:
Late-night comedy programs like “The Daily Show” now exist as fan service for liberal audiences.
Hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel routinely treat Trump and conservatives like punching bags for jokes that are less about comedy and more about affirming the values and political mission of the Democrat Party.
When “The Daily Show” makes a point to target someone on the left it’s a signal to the rank-and-file that this person is now a political embarrassment and it’s time to cut bait.
That’s the position Fani Willis found herself in when comedian Marlon Wayans played a character named Quon who interviewed Nathan Wade about the affair that threatens to derail the criminal prosecution of Trump in Georgia.
The Georgia Court of Appeals will hear a motion from Donald Trump’s lawyers on October 4 about disqualifying Willis over allegations of conflict of interest.
Trump’s lawyers allege Willis financially benefited from hiring her lover Wade onto the case as Wade would pay for her vacations.
Quon interviewed Wade and treated Wade and Willis like morons for carrying on this affair in the middle of a prosecution.
“D.A. Willis is a respectable mother, a brilliant legal mind. We spent countless hours preparing this case, investigating this case,” Wade told Quon.
Quon mocked Wade for attempting to insult his intelligence.
“I see how it happened, countless hours, and I need a foot rub, you know what I mean, and she rub your foot,” Quon responded.
“And I’m like, ‘Hey let me give you a massage,’ and all of a sudden, boom boom, we up on this desk. Man,” Quon added.
“No. Not even close. Not even close,” Wade answered.
Quon asked Wade when the affair began, which is a sensitive subject.
Both Wade and Willis claimed the affair began after Wade joined the case.
Witness testimony and cell phone data showing Wade’s phone remaining in Willis’ neighborhood overnight suggest Wade and Willis began the affair before Willis contracted with Wade to serve as special prosecutor on the Trump witch hunt.
Wade chose his words carefully as Republicans would like to see Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr bring perjury charges against Wade and Willis.
“That’s a great question, right? So, during the course of the investigation, we would meet early mornings, weekends, spent full days–” Wade started to say before Quon cut him off.
“How can you not hit that?! How can you not?!” Quon interjected and Wade cracked up.
“We spending that much time together, we doing everything, we might as well,” Quon exclaimed.
Wade stepped in it by saying he didn’t see Willis as his boss but “more analogous to a client.”
“So you served her well?” Quon shot back.
“I did. I did my job,” Wade answered, not realizing he gave Quon exactly the answer he was looking for.
Quon then wondered what the service looked like and began mimicking sexual positions asking Wade “what position was it? Did that position look like this? Or this?”
To wrap up the interview, Quon told Wade that “young Black men need a role model.”
But Quon made it clear he saw Wade and Willis as ridiculous figures by asking Wade “what’s your advice to kids in the hood that’s out there that wanna grow up and have their d–k potentially in democracy?”
“Cut!” an embarrassed Wade shouted, bringing the interview to a close.
