Joe Biden can’t believe what he’s seeing.
The Democrat Party is mobilizing to oust him as their Presidential nominee.
And Chuck Schumer held one secret meeting that means doom for Joe Biden.
Nancy Pelosi sent shockwaves through Washington when she appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe – Biden’s favorite TV show – and refused to commit to supporting Biden as the nominee.
Pelosi said it was up to Biden to give the party an answer about running for re-election, even though Biden has repeatedly stated he’s planning to be the Democrat nominee.
These comments indicated that, for Pelosi, the answer she wants to hear from Biden is different than the one he’s been giving about running for re-election.
Chuck Schumer is another Democrat with the stature to tell Biden it’s over.
And now Schumer is doing his part behind the scenes to shove Biden offstage.
Axios reported that while in public, Schumer is saying he’s with Joe, but in private meetings and conversations with major donors, Schumer is singing a different tune.
“Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is privately signaling to donors that he’s open to a Democratic presidential ticket that isn’t led by President Biden,” Axios exclusively reported.
Schumer hasn’t discouraged major donors from plotting against Biden.
“Over the last 12 days, Schumer has been listening to donors’ ideas and suggestions about the best way forward for the party, according to three people familiar with the matter,” Axios also reported.
“Both before and after the debate, Schumer’s famous flip phone burned up with donors, sharing their views. Schumer has been listening,” Axios continued.
But Schumer also refused to commit to a replacement for Biden – which Schumer would want to avoid because he needs to unite everyone around ditching Biden and not alienate anyone by putting his thumb on the scale against potential allies favored replacement.
“Schumer hasn’t indicated who, if anyone, might be a more viable candidate than Biden, a man he served with in the Senate for 20 years,” Axios reported.
The cascade of Democrats speaking out against Biden got rolling after Pelosi’s comments.
In many ways, Pelosi and Barack Obama still run the Democrat Party.
Obama’s loyalists like former speech writer and podcaster Jon Favreau and former chief strategist David Axelrod speaking out against Biden clearly occurred with Obama’s blessing.
Pelosi and Schumer still control the Congressional axis of the Democrat Party.
It was surely no coincidence that on the day Pelosi let it known she wanted Biden gone, leaks suddenly began to appear in the media about Chuck Schumer signaling to donors that he was on board to boot Biden off the ticket.
