Sean Hannity Says Democrats Are Trying to Smear Trump Because They Know Biden Can’t Run On His Record

2024 is set to feature the longest general election in history.

But Joe Biden may have already suffered a knockout blow in the opening round.

And Sean Hannity just drove the final nail in Biden’s coffin with this damning question.

Ronald Reagan cemented his landslide win in the 1980 presidential election when he infamously asked Americans if they were better off “today” than four years ago.

Thanks to historic inflation, high energy prices, and the humiliation of the Iranian hostage crisis, the answer was a resounding “no” and the voters fired President Jimmy Carter in a resounding rebuke.

Sean Hannity believes history is set to repeat itself thanks to Joe Biden’s historic failures in office.

Hannity recently explained how Biden can’t run on his record since less than 40 percent of Americans approve of his job as President, so Biden and the Democrats are going to crank up the smear campaign to scare voters out of voting for Donald Trump instead.

“They spread fear, hysteria, all things hate Trump, hate Trump 24/7,” Hannity stated.

“And of course, Democrats will call Republicans racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, transphobic that want dirty air and water. In other words, Democrats are using fear and division to mask what has been a terrible four years under Biden.”

Biden’s already telegraphed this approach as he plans to make the events of January 6 the central focus of his campaign message and by making the absurd claim that Donald Trump winning in November will mean the end of American democracy.

“I repeat, they cannot run on, ‘Are you better off than you were four years ago?’” Hannity continued. “This is all they have left.”

A recent Yahoo/YouGuv poll showed that if the election is a referendum on whether the American people think Joe Biden’s agenda has improved their lives – then the Democrats’ goose is cooked.

By a 48 to 39 percent margin, Americans think they were better off under Donald Trump.

That margin swells to 25 points among the all-important independent voters.

The last four years have also allowed voters to emerge from the fog of media hysteria and clearly evaluate Trump’s term in office.

Americans also realize the media fed them a bunch of hoaxes and hyped-up drama during Trump’s presidency to distract from the fact that inflation was under two percent, the economy was booming, gas was $2.39 a gallon, and America hadn’t entered any new wars.

That’s why the Yahoo/YouGuv poll found 51 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump did as President.

By comparison, just 39 percent approve of Joe Biden’s job as President.

For the first time since 1892, Americans have a former President running against a current President.

In that election, former President Grover Cleveland defeated incumbent Benjamin Harrison.

This time, the polls also show the sitting President in deep trouble.

The American people have a clear understanding of whose term in office they prefer and most believe Donald Trump was a more successful President and had improved their lives.
