Polls show the American people think Joe Biden is too old for another term.
Democrats will have trouble fighting off that narrative.
That’s because Joe Biden’s cognitive decline was on display with these six humiliating gaffes.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
President Joe Biden was gearing up to head to North Carolina on Thursday in order to start his reelection pitch of improving America with his economic plans.
However, the day was marked by numerous mistakes from the octogenarian president.
Biden first started taking a few questions from reporters in front of the White House before leaving for North Carolina.
“Tomorrow is the March for Life in Washington D.C.,” Owen Jensen, EWTN White House correspondent, said.
“I know that,” Biden replied.
“What’s your message to those attending?” Jensen asked.
“March,” Biden answered.
Afterwards, Biden was asked about the United States’ recent strikes on Houthis in Yemen. The Houthi, an Iran-backed rebel group, had attacked commercial vessels in the Red Sea and disrupted world trade.
“Are the airstrikes in Yemen working?” a reporter asked.
“Well, when you say working, do you mean stopping the Houthis? No,” the president answered. “Are they gonna continue? Yes.”
Once in North Carolina, Biden stumbled onstage at his Raleigh appearance while he looked for Democratic North Carolina Rep. Deborah Ross who wasn’t even there.
“Where’s Deborah? I just had my picture taken with her,” Biden says, looking around the crowd.
“Oh, she couldn’t be here, actually. That’s not true. I got it mixed up,” Biden realized.
Then Biden spoke about his high-speed internet investment – which will be funded by taxpayers – and used an outdated example to make his point.
“How many of you spent time in McDonald’s parking lots tapping into their internet so you could do the homework with your kid?” Biden asked the crowd.
As one Twitter user noted, people haven’t had to go to a public business to get WiFi since the early 2000s.
“This trope that clueless Biden still uses is from the first decade of the 21st century, nobody and I mean nobody goes to McDonalds anymore to get WiFi. Completely and totally out of touch,” Twitter user “@harrytpk” wrote.
Biden later confused the number of jobs his administration had created.
“To date, 400 — excuse me, 40,000 infrastructure projects have been announced across this nation,” the president said.
“Since I’ve been to office we’ve created 14 million new jobs. 440 new jobs in North Carolina only just since I came to office,” Biden continued.
At another time, Biden began wandering away from the microphone while he was speaking to the crowd.
“You know how many billionaires we have in America today?” Biden asked while he starts drifting away from the mic.
“1,000” Biden responds, walking further away from the microphone.
“You know what their average rate, average tax rate, federal tax rate is?” he continued.
“[Inaudible]… Oh, I shouldn’t walk away from this,” Biden said and starts walking back to the podium.
