2020 was the first time that meeting didn’t take place.
Now 2024 is the second time as Melania Trump turned down Jill Biden’s invitation for tea at the White House.
“Jill Biden extended Melania Trump the customary invitation last week as her husband also invited the president-elect to the Oval Office, a symbolic gesture to show the country and the world that there will be a peaceful transition of power – and an implicit rebuke of Donald Trump, who refused Joe Biden the same meeting in 2020 as he contested that election’s results. The two are set to meet Wednesday at 11 a.m., according to the White House,” CNN reported.
This wasn’t a personal slight at Jill Biden.
Rather, Melania Trump had a scheduling conflict for the time Jill Biden offered, owing to the promotion of her best-selling memoir.
“The sources cited a prior scheduling conflict for the former first lady related to her newly released memoir. One source said the decision had not been finalized,” CNN also reported.
Jill Biden invited Melania Trump for tea on the same day that Joe Biden will host Donald Trump at the Oval Office.
Trump and Biden only spoke one time previously since the 2020 election.
That was the June 27 debate that ended Joe Biden’s career.
Biden meeting with Trump also confirms that Biden and the media were lying throughout the 2024 campaign when they called Donald Trump a fascist, Hitler, and a wannabe dictator.
When Donald Trump held talks with authoritarian leaders like Kim Jong Un the media shrieked that Trump debased the office of the presidency by meeting with tyrants.
There was no such talk when Biden said he would host Trump.
That’s because calling Trump Hitler was just WWE-style campaign trash talk.
Like in pro-wrestling, Democrats and their allies in the press wanted the public to think Donald Trump was some kind of aberrant threat to American democracy.
But it was just all for show.
In WWE, the mudslinging was designed to talk fans into buying tickets to see the show.
In the 2024 election, the attacks on Trump were designed to scare Americans into the voting booth.
The tactic failed as Donald Trump led the GOP to their most sweeping win since 1980.
And by the Bidens inviting Donald and Melania Trump to the White House, Democrats are trying to pretend the name-calling about Trump being Hitler never happened.
