Just like in 2016, Donald Trump has ridden the backlash against the Democrats’ open-borders agenda to the GOP nomination.
Polls show the rising anger of Americans regarding the border crisis pushing Trump to a lead over Joe Biden in both the national and swing state polls.
Liberals in the press see history repeating itself – but don’t want to accept the reality staring them right in the face.
Over on MSNBC, Rachel Maddow and Jen Psaki mocked Americans as ignorant racists for being up in arms over the millions of illegal immigrants pouring over the border.
“I live in Virginia. Immigration was the number one issue,” Psaki whined about the polling data that showed Americans’ concern over Joe Biden escorting 7,200,000 illegal aliens into the country being the top of mind for voters.
Maddow thought it was all a big joke and claimed that what really worried residents of Virginia was the gun-toting rednecks from neighboring West Virginia crossing into their commonwealth.
“Well, Virginia does have a border with West Virginia, a — very contested area,” Maddow snarked.
But Megyn Kelly destroyed Maddow and Psaki over this mockery of everyday Americans and their concerns over losing their country to the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration.
Kelly told her audience that the parents of the 14-year-old Virginia girl who was raped by an illegal alien Joe Biden had set loose probably didn’t find the border issue very funny.
“Tell it to the family of the 14-year-old girl in Campbell County, Virginia, who was just sexually assaulted by an illegal from Venezuela, who’s now been arrested and charged after he crossed illegally into El Paso, Texas, in September of 2003,” said Kelly.
Kelly cautioned that Psaki and Maddow can “laugh and sneer at their own peril,” but they won’t like what happens on Election Day if the whole Democrat Party thinks hysterical white people are making a nonissue out of the border.
“They’ll learn in November what the truth is,” Kelly stated.
In 2016, Democrats and the media claimed Hillary Clinton lost because of racial anxiety in the white working class over changing demographics.
It was a lie then and it’s a lie now.
Contrary to what Maddow, Psaki, and the rest of the liberal intelligentsia believe, open borders are unpopular among all racial groups.
A New York Times/Siena poll showing Trump leading Biden by five points found Trump winning 40 percent of the Latino vote and 23 percent of the black vote.
And if Democrats continue to adopt the attitude of Maddow and Psaki and treat anyone worried about the crisis at the border as a rube, Donald Trump will continue to gain strength in the polls.
