Donald Trump’s trial is in the books.
No one could have seen what happened coming.
And Sean Hannity was sick to his stomach after hearing the result of Trump’s trial.
Republicans called Trump’s trial for what it was – a show trial.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio told Sean Hannity this sham trial hit close to home because the way Democrats treated Trump was like how the Communist Castro regime disposed of its enemies after taking power in 1959.
“This is a quintessential show trial. This is what you see in communist countries. This is what I grew up having people in the [Cuban exile] community tell me about,” Rubio began.
Rubio listed all the way Democrats rigged the trial starting by picking a Joe Biden campaign donor whose daughter is making money off the case to oversee the proceeding,
“In this particular case, they found themselves a Democrat judge,” Rubio declared.
“This judge gave money to Joe Biden in 2020. His daughter is a campaign consultant for Democrats who’s out there marketing ‘Convict Trump’ stuff,” Rubio added.
Rubio also explained that a partisan ideologue who campaigned for office on prosecuting Trump decided to make up crimes so could put Trump away.
“Then you’ve got a DA who said, ‘I am going to go after Trump and put him away,’ when he was running for office to get elected,” Rubio said to Hannity.
He didn’t know what he would put him away for, but he promised to put him away for something.” Rubio continued.
And a conviction wouldn’t be possible with a stacked jury filled with Democrats and Trump haters, which Democrats assured would happen by trying Trump in a bright blue city like Manhattan.
“Then you have a jury that lives in Manhattan, which voted 85% for Joe Biden,” Rubio stated.
Rubio closed with a warning for Hannity.
Democrats deputizing the courts to serve as part of their campaign apparatus meant the end of the American experiment in self-governance and the beginning of the descent into authoritarianism.
“We cannot become one of those countries where people, once they leave office, are targeted through the court system by their political opponents. That’s what happens in Peru. That’s what’s happened in Brazil. That’s what’s happened in all these countries. It cannot happen here. And that is the direction we are headed right now with what’s happened here today,” Rubio concluded.
Democrats don’t care now.
That’s because, to the left, the ends justify the means, when it comes down to defeating Donald Trump.
But the genie the Democrats unleashed by weaponizing the justice system against Trump won’t be easily put back in the bottle.
