John Fetterman is trying to thread a political needle.
Fetterman’s attempts failed miserably.
And John Fetterman made one bad choice that will change his life forever.
Voter registration data in Pennsylvania continues to trend in the Republican Party’s direction.
The Democrat Party’s advantage is now under 100,000.
There is a good possibility that registered Republicans will outnumber Democrats by the time 2028 rolls around.
2028 is when Senator John Fetterman is up for re-election.
No one reaches the national level of politics without being able to read the tea leaves.
That’s certainly true of Fetterman.
Fetterman ran for Senate in 2022 as a socialist “Bernie Bro.”
But Fetterman realizes that branding won’t fly in 2028 as 2024 showed Trump winning the Commonwealth for a second time and voters firing leftwing Senator Bob Casey, Jr.
Fetterman attempted a soft reboot in the months that followed.
Fetterman was the only Democrat Senator who traveled to Mar-a-Lago to meet with Trump following his victory.
Fetterman also espoused support for Trump buying Greenland.
And Fetterman delighted in prodding the left by making public shows of carrying the Israeli flag.
However, when it was all said and done these were just empty gestures to fool the increasingly conservative electorate back home.
Fetterman’s voting record showed he was still an avowed leftist.
That was obvious when Fetterman voted to block legislation banning biological males from playing women’s sports.
Fetterman told the leftwing website The Bulwark that even though polls showed 80 percent of Americans oppose men in women’s sports, Fetterman was all-in on the transgender agenda.
“I’m not dumb either. I know the polling, and now a lot of people are saying it’s absurd. And now, for me, that’s when I felt like it’s a time to really say I’m not gonna bully or I’m not gonna degrade those,” Fetterman declared.
Fetterman even claimed the parents who are afraid their daughters would get hurt playing sports against biological males were just worrywarts.
“And now, you know, we’re at 13 million people in our state. And it’s a small, small number of people that are involved on that. And I have a 13-year-old daughter, and she plays basketball. And I’m not afraid that she’s gonna get mowed down,” Fetterman continued.
This was no joke to the parents of Payton McNabb, one of President Trump’s guests at his joint address to congress.
McNabb suffered a traumatic brain injury when a biological male spiked a ball off her head during a volleyball match.
Fetterman also confessed he understood that when he ran for re-election, he would face an onslaught of the “they/them” commercials that helped sink Kamala Harris’ campaign.
“I know that there’ll be commercials saying, ‘Fetterman’s for they/them’ and blah, blah, blah. And I’m like, ‘Hey, you know, like bring it on.’ I’m not afraid to stand for my side on that,” Fetterman added.
But Fetterman said that given a choice between the woke mob and the 80 percent of people that want to protect women’s sports, Fetterman said he would pick the woke mob all day every day.
“I made that choice, and I could have tried to cut my head down like a lot of my other colleagues decided to do,” Fetterman concluded. “But for me, even though I know it’s politically unpopular, I think that’s the kind of time to do that.”
