But what came next just made everything worse.

Disney pulled Kimmel’s show for five days because Kimmel refused to apologize for falsely claiming Kirk’s assassin was MAGA, a fib that indicted every Trump voter in America for Kirk’s murder.
Affiliates that covered more than 20 percent of Kimmel’s audience announced they were preempting the show, and Disney suspended Kimmel to lower the temperature.
Disney put Kimmel back on the air after folding to the violent threats by the left and falsehoods about the Trump administration forcing Kimmel off the air.
An unrepentant Kimmel refused to concede his dishonesty and responded with a 17-minute monologue that piled untruth on top of untruth.
Kimmel lied and claimed he never implied Kirk’s killer was part of MAGA.
“I understand that to some, that felt either ill-timed or unclear, or maybe both, and for those who think I did point a finger, I get why you’re upset,” Kimmel stated.
In the monologue that landed Kimmel in hot water, he said, “the MAGA gang [is] desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them.”
Kimmel then falsely claimed the killer didn’t represent any political ideology.
“I don’t think the murderer who shot Charlie Kirk represents anyone. This is a sick person who believes violence is a solution, and it isn’t,” Kimmel added.
This was a lie.
Kirk’s killer was fully immersed in leftist ideology and the transgender agenda.
Text messages showed the killer targeted Kirk for spreading “hate.”
Kimmel’s defiant and dishonest monologue only served to inflame the situation.
Turning Point USA spokesman and executive producer of the Charlie Kirk show, Andrew Klovet, blasted Kimmel as a serial liar who was only worried about himself.
Bowyer wrote on X that Kimmel’s emotion was nothing more than crocodile tears because his only concern was keeping his cushy job that reportedly pays him an annual salary of $16 million per year.
“Yes, Jimmy got emotional. So what. He’s emotional for himself because he almost torched his entire career,” Klovet began.
Klovet explained that a real apology would have included Kimmel admitting he was wrong to blame MAGA for Kirk’s assassination and telling the truth about how the killer murdered Kirk for political reasons.
“Kimmel is an unrepentant liar who tried to blame Charlie’s assassination on the part of the country that just spent the last 2 weeks praying and holding vigils. What he’s really saying is that he still thinks it’s fair game to slander conservatives. He would rather advance his own political and cultural agenda than confront the truth. The truth is that his own side has been fanning the flames of political assassinations for years. The truth is that someone on the left picked up a gun and murdered someone on the right who advocated for peaceful debate,” Klovet continued.
Klovet said without honest contrition, Kimmel was just reciting scripted lines for a fake apology in the hopes of putting a career-ending controversy in the rearview mirror.
It’s critical that liars admit they lied. There can be no restoration without that. Anything short of that is a fake and scripted cry line designed to endear him to his fans, not to make right the wrong he committed.
