Iran is Plotting to Assassinate Trump
It’s clear that there are many people out there who want to see Trump dead, as evidenced by the multiple assassination attempts that have taken place during this campaign.
Some of those people are left-wing kooks, like the man who tried to shoot him at his golf course, but in some cases they are foreign agents as well.
Iran in particular has made it clear that they will do whatever it takes to end Trump’s life, and U.S. officials have discovered some very dark and disturbing things about Iran’s plans.
And while the Biden administration has no love lost for Trump, even they were very concerned when they saw this information, and they immediately told Trump about it.
Now the Secret Service is going to have to double down so that they not only prevent lone wolves from taking down Trump, but highly trained Iranian assassins.
They are going to have to step up their game to combat these terrifying attempts to kill the former president.
U.S. Officials Say This Plot is Very Serious
According to NBC News, “Top U.S. intelligence officials briefed former President Donald Trump on Tuesday about threats from Iran to assassinate him, a Trump campaign spokesperson said.”
“A spokesperson for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Tuesday evening acknowledged there was a briefing but declined to address any specifics.
“Iran’s permanent mission to the United Nations in New York did not immediately respond to a request for comment.”
The fact that the Iranian government themselves is not even bothering to deny their efforts to kill the former president of the United States shows how serious they are about this.
This goes well beyond what even some of the worst dictators on Earth have tried to do. No foreign country, to our knowledge, has ever successfully killed a United States president.
The article continues, “The Secret Service ramped up security around Trump this year when the Biden administration received intelligence about an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate Trump. News of the increased security came days after the July 13 attempt on Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania; officials said at the time that there was no sign of a connection between the Iranian plot and the assassination attempt at a campaign rally.”
This is obviously a very scary moment for the entire nation, as Iran could sow chaos in an instant if they succeed.
Everyone, Democrat and Republican alike, should be invested in making sure that foreign countries don’t kill our leaders.
Americans should be able to choose who leads this country, instead of having that choice made by a bullet from an Iranian gun.
Hopefully the Secret Service and other agencies will be able to keep Trump safe through this dangerous time.
And perhaps eventually the people of Iran will decide they’ve had enough of their insane regime and do something to change it.
