Somali scammers stole billions of dollars from the taxpayers.
Millions of Americans were mad as hell.
And Donald Trump hit Somali scammers where it hurts with this bold move.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Independent journalist Nick Shirley set off a firestorm with his video exposing $110,000,000 in scams where Somalis in Minnesota defrauded taxpayers by setting up bogus childcare centers.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced a federal investigation.
Department of Homeland Security personnel surged into Minneapolis to conduct on-the-ground spot checks of Somali day care centers
But criminal investigations take time to compile the evidence and testimony necessary to secure indictments.
Trials take even longer.
Americans demanded immediate action.
The Trump administration delivered.
Deputy Health and Human Services Secretary Jim O’Neill posted on X that the administration took a series of steps to impose immediate accountability on Somali daycare centers in Minnesota.
First, O’Neill announced a 100 percent freeze on all federal childcare program payments to Minnesota.
“We have frozen all child care payments to the state of Minnesota. You have probably read the serious allegations that the state of Minnesota has funneled millions of taxpayer dollars to fraudulent daycares across Minnesota over the past decade,” O’Neill began.
Childcare centers in Minnesota will have to provide physical photographic evidence that they run a legitimate operation to receive any federal money.
“I have activated our defend the spend system for all ACF payments. Starting today, all ACF payments across America will require a justification and a receipt or photo evidence before we send money to a state,” O’Neill added.
O’Neill also revealed that the Health and Human Services identified the individuals running the day care centers in question that Shirley exposed in his video.
The state of Minnesota will now have to provide a “comprehensive audit of these centers,” which will include “attendance records, licenses, complaints, investigations, and inspections.”
And finally, the federal government set up a tip line and email address so Americans can provide leads to investigate child care fraud in states beyond Minnesota.
“We have launched a dedicated fraud-reporting hotline and email address at https://childcare.gov. Whether you are a parent, provider, or member of the general public, we want to hear from you,” O’Neill concluded.
