Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is one of the rising stars in the Democrat Party.
Ocasio-Cortez is about to play a major role in the party’s future.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is facing this dangerous decision.

The 2024 election is barely in the rearview mirror and the focus of official Washington and the political media is already turning to 2028.
2028 figures to be a political free for all, especially on the Democrat side.
Kamala Harris ran and lost this November, taking the nominal heiress apparent off the table.
Every Democrat with national ambitions is going to at least test the waters in this campaign.
The Democrat Party’s goal for 2028 is to find a candidate who can win a general election and dismantle Donald Trump’s agenda.
And one Democrat the media is already promoting to run for president is none other than Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
The press views Ocasio-Cortez as the type of new-era politician who can navigate the modern media environment where podcasts and social media hold more sway with voters than The New York Times, the network nightly news casts or the Sunday shows.
“Democrats say Ocasio-Cortez would be a magnet for young voters and would have little trouble using social media, podcasts and other online tools, as she has been doing since she was elected to Congress in 2018,” The Hill reported.
Former Trump Treasury Department official Monica Crowley told Lisa Boothe that Republicans shouldn’t underestimate Ocasio-Cortez due to her new media skills.
“She was an early adopter of social media… so she’s connecting directly to voters,” Crowley stated.
“However, just a word of warning to the Republicans, to my party: Do not underestimate AOC. She’s young, she’s vibrant, she’s attractive,” Crowley continued.
“I think she’s wrong on everything, but she does have real grassroots support. And all of the energy and activism in the Democrat Party remains with the revolutionary left, of which she is a part,” Crowley said.
Ocasio-Cortez has even taken some steps to moderate her image in light of the new political reality.
The New York congresswoman recently removed her pronouns from her X bio as those are now an archaic symbol of woke overreach.
But Ocasio-Cortez would also run into some of the same problems as Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris could never shake leftist positions she adopted from her 2020 campaign such as defunding the police.
Ocasio-Cortez was a founder of the “defund the police” movement following the death of George Floyd.
In addition, Ocasio-Cortez also supported defunding ICE.
Defunding ICE and defunding the police means opens borders and criminals running wild on the streets.
If Ocasio-Cortez is the Democrat standard-bearer in 2028 they will be stuck in the same box as this year with a nominee who holds leftist positions on public safety that are far outside the liberal mainstream.
