Donald Trump is set for another legal showdown with Democrat New York Attorney General Letitia James.
But Trump blindsided everyone before the fight started.

Trump informed a New York appeals court that he can’t secure a $464 million bond to cover the judgment imposed by Democrat Judge Arthur Engoron in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud show trial.
“The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.
Experts warned that Engoron delivering a monetary judgment in James’ favor would ultimately result in denying Donald Trump due process thanks to the sheer amount of the judgment.
They were correct as no insurance company would ever cover such an amount.
James weaponized New York’s civil fraud statute to target Trump with a never-before-seen lawsuit where she even admitted she couldn’t prove any fraud had actually taken place or that there were any victims.
But James knew she could count on a fellow elected Democrat like Engoron to play along with this scam to target Trump.
Trump asked the appeals court to stay the enforcement of the judgment while Trump appeals his case.
If the appeals court rules against Trump, then James can begin seizing Trump properties and potentially kick him out of his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Trump wanted this un-American and unconstitutional fine by Engoron – the $464 million judgment in a case where there is no crime and no victim violates the Eighth Amendment prohibition against excessive fines – threatened to turn America into a banana republic where the ruling party leverages corrupt prosecutors and judges to destroy their opponents as punishment for challenging them.
“I built a Magnificent Business, which helped rebuild New York City and State, with Amazing, Unparalleled, Historic Properties and tons of CASH, which Crooked Joe Biden and his Maniac Persecutors are trying to wrongfully and illegally take from me. A bond of the size set by the Democrat Club-controlled Judge, in Corrupt, Racist Letitia James’ unlawful Witch Hunt, is unconstitutional, un-American, unprecedented, and practically impossible for ANY Company, including one as successful as mine. The Bonding Companies have never heard of such a bond, of this size, before, nor do they have the ability to post such a bond, even if they wanted to,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“The statute used to attack me has never been used for such a purpose before – No Jury allowed, ridiculous $18 Million Value for Mar-a-Lago, the Judge ignored the Statute of Limitations Decision by the Appellate Court, Ironclad Disclaimer Clauses, No Damages, No Victims – A Disgraceful “Case!” This Sham is forcing companies and people to flee New York, and stopping companies from entering – If they did, they would be crazy, because they don’t need the Communist China, or old Soviet Union, model of business to interfere with their Prosperity and Success. We will fight and defeat this Hoax, and all of the other Crooked Joe-directed Hoaxes, once and for all. If I wasn’t running for President of the United States, and leading by a lot, this kind of Witch Hunt would never have happened!” Trump concluded.
