Donald Trump kept building momentum through his few weeks in office.

Then the swamp thought it discovered the silver bullet to stop him.

And a top Trump ally failed to do one crucial thing.

As Great American Digest reports:

Tulsi Gabbard was one of the anti-establishment nominees Trump put forth to help him drain the swamp.

Trump nominated Gabbard to serve as director of National Intelligence to ensure that the Deep State didn’t run amok like it did in Trump’s first term.

The Ukraine impeachment hoax was initially run out of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

The director of National Intelligence also is the primary briefer for the president of the United States.

Gabbard shares Donald Trump’s America First foreign policy and suspicion of the surveillance state.

The FBI illegally weaponized the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to obtain warrants to spy on Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

In Congress, Gabbard supported legislation to repeal Section 702 of the FISA, which allows for the government to spy on American citizens without a warrant.

Gabbard’s bill would have brought the FISA in line with the Fourth Amendment and required a warrant to surveil an American citizen.

Gabbard also defended Edward Snowden after Snowden blew the whistle on Barack Obama’s unconstitutional and lawless scheme to spy on Americans’ every phone call, text message, and email without a warrant.

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley told Fox News host Jesse Watters that it was Gabbard’s defense of the Constitution and opposition to the surveillance state that served as the unforgivable sin that could imperil her nomination.

“As for Tulsi Gabbard, you know, here’s her real sin, Jesse, in the eyes of so many of the Washington establishment of both parties, her sin is she challenged the surveillance state. She told the truth about the government spying on Americans, about the abuses of FISA. She went out there and was honest about it, and for that, she is getting absolutely roasted and persecuted. That’s the real issue here,” Hawley stated.

If Gabbard loses one vote on the Senate Intelligence Committee, her nomination would fail to advance to a floor vote in the full Senate.

Hawley told Watters that Senate Republicans needed to be mindful of the fact that the American people elected Donald Trump to disrupt the status quo and to drain the swamp.

That’s why Trump nominated Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Senate Republicans trying to impose their preferences on Donald Trump’s Cabinet would be defying the will of the people and their mandate for change.

“And I hope that Republicans will look at both of these individuals and say, these are truth tellers. These are people who are going to disrupt the status quo, and they’re going to get their agencies, the government, back to serving the American people and telling us the truth. Wouldn’t that be a refreshing change?” Hawley concluded.
