Democrat prosecutor Alvin Bragg dropped the mask and isn’t even pretending anymore.
Bragg’s going all-out to interfere in the 2024 election.
And now Alvin Bragg delivered this scary ultimatum that could land Donald Trump in prison.
Democrat judge and Joe Biden campaign donor Jaun Merchan imposed an illegal and unconstitutional gag order on Trump preventing him from commenting on witnesses, prosecutors, court staff – and their families – during the duration of the trial.
The obvious problem arose when witnesses in the case – like Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels – went on media tours attacking Trump over Bragg’s bogus prosecution.
Cohen, in particular, is a celebrity on the left who regularly appears in the media slamming Trump’s fitness for office as evidenced by the fraudulent indictments Democrat prosecutors have brought against Trump.
Trump fired back in multiple posts on Truth Social.
“Has disgraced attorney and felon Michael Cohen been prosecuted for LYING?” Trump wrote, adding that Cohen and Daniels are “two sleaze bags who have, with their lies and misrepresentations, cost our Country dearly!”
Bragg filed a motion in court asking the Democrat judge to fine Trump $3,000 for the posts and throw Trump in jail for 30 days – which would also take him off the campaign trail for 30 days (a move that would strongly benefit Democrat Presidential nominee Joe Biden) – if Trump violates the gag order a second time.
“This Court should again admonish defendant to comply with his obligations under the order. And finally, this Court should warn defendant that future violations of the Court’s restrictions on his extrajudicial statements can be punished not only with additional fines, but also with a term of incarceration of up to thirty days,” Bragg wrote.
“It is absolutely critical that defendant immediately halt any conduct that would violate the April 1 order’s narrow restrictions to protect the integrity of the ongoing trial. A finding of criminal contempt, imposition of sanctions, and stark warnings from this Court are the minimum remedies necessary to achieve this indispensable objective,” Bragg added.
Trump wasn’t about to let this assault on democracy, free-and-fair elections, as well as the rule of law, pass by.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump slammed the gag order as a political hit-job orchestrated by conflicted partisans masquerading as judges and prosecutors.
“This conflicted, Trump-Hating Judge won’t let me respond to people who are on TV lying and spewing hate all day long. He is running roughshod over my lawyers and legal team. The New York System of “Justice” is being decimated by critics from all over the World. I want to speak, or at least be able to respond. Election Interference! RIGGED, UNCONSTITUTIONAL TRIAL! Take off the Gag Order!!!” Trump declared.
