ABC already had to pay Donald Trump a $15 million settlement in a defamation lawsuit after Stephanopoulos repeatedly falsely claimed that a judge adjudicated Trump as a rapist in the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit.
Stephanopoulos again embarrassed himself in an interview with Vice President Vance when he wouldn’t let go of a fake news story about the Biden FBI setting up a sting to entrap Tom Homan in a bribery charge weeks before the 2024 election.
MSNBC reported that Homan was running a consulting firm at the time and sought to help clients land contracts for border security.
The FBI sent an undercover informant to set up Homan and MSNBC claimed the informant handed Homan a bag containing $50,000 to help secure contracts if Trump won the election.
Trump administration officials denied Homan accepted any money and even the weaponized Biden Justice Department declined to prosecute Homan since all Homan did, at most, was accept a retainer on behalf of a client for future services rendered.
Vance dismissed Stephanopoulos’ question as a “left-wing rabbit hole” and an example of why polls showed the American people holding record low levels of trust in the media.
“Here’s, George, why fewer and fewer people watch your program and why you’re losing credibility: because you’re talking — for now five minutes — with the vice president of the United States about this story regarding Tom Homan, a story that I’ve read about, but I don’t even know the video that you’re talking about. Meanwhile, low-income women can’t get food because the Democrats and Chuck Schumer have shut down the government. Right now, we’re trying to figure out how to pay our troops because Chuck Schumer has shut the government. You are focused on a bogus story,” Vance added.
Vance blasted Stephanopoulos, a former Bill Clinton operative, for trying to smear Homan as a corrupt criminal when there is no evidence of any wrongdoing.
“You’re insinuating criminal wrongdoing against a guy who has done nothing wrong instead of focusing on the fact that our country is struggling because our government’s shut down. Let’s talk about the real issues, George. I think the American people would benefit much more from that than you going down some weird left-wing rabbit hole where the facts clearly show that Tom Homan didn’t in any criminal wrongdoing,” Vance added.
Stephanopoulos then got all snippy with Vance because he didn’t like Vance’s answer.
When Vance protested, Stephanopoulos cut off the microphone of the sitting Vice President and threw it to a commercial break.
But Stephanopoulos’ temper tantrum backfired.
Even Never Trump RINO Meghan McCain said Stephanopoulos’ shoddy treatment of Vance would get her to vote for any Republican Presidential candidate, even if they supported Trump’s MAGA agenda.
“All you have to do is keep showing me clips of George Stephanopoulous interviewing Vice President @JDVance and I will vote for every republican for President until there is no longer breath in my lungs,” McCain wrote on X.
Many in the media fail to understand that every day Americans can see, plain as day, the deranged anti-Trump bias in the press.
The unfair, false, and hysterical coverage the media uses to smear Trump has only helped grow Trump’s support, as Trump’s vote total increased in every election he ran in.
J.D. Vance may now become the beneficiary of this phenomenon in 2028.
