The Fraud Scheme Ilhan Omar Ignored Just Got Raided by Federal Agents in Her Own Backyard

Ilhan Omar championed a meals program for her community. And Somali scammers turned it into a $9 billion fraud machine, looting American taxpayers.

JD Vance’s anti-fraud task force just hit Minneapolis with 20 simultaneous federal raids.

And the fraud scheme Ilhan Omar ignored just got raided by federal agents in her own backyard.

As West Wing Daily reports:

When Elon Musk ran DOGE, he estimated that as much as 20% of the federal budget got flushed down the drain on waste.

President Trump took action by naming Vice President Vance as the chair of an anti-fraud task force to identify scams and haul fraudsters before a judge.

Vance hit the ground running as the Department of Agriculture launched Operation Cold SNAP, where agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) executed 20 search warrants at 20 Minneapolis retailers suspected of SNAP benefit trafficking.

Minneapolis is Ground Zero for fraud as a Medicaid meals program that Ilhan Omar championed turned into the Nexus for Somali scammers to loot $9 billion from U.S. taxpayers.

Vance reassured Americans that his task force was just getting started in rooting out corruption in blue states that Democrats look the other way on as part of a scheme to buy votes.

“Every day, the Trump Administration exposes more fraud. The anti-fraud task force led by Vice President Vance is working around the clock to ensure that your tax dollars are being used to serve American families, not fraudsters,” a statement from a Vance spokesperson to Breitbart News read.

Task force member USDA Inspector General John Walk explained how these SNAP schemes really end up hunting children.

“Fraudulent SNAP retailers steal from victims that include children who rely on federal nutrition assistance and dishonor the charity of American taxpayers who fund the assistance,” Walk stated.

“OIG will continue to work hand-in-hand with federal law enforcement partners and agencies across the government in the war on fraud and hold criminals to account,” Walk added.

Vance was just getting started.

Breitbart reported that Walk announced an investigation into “Puerto Rico Comptroller Carmen Vega Fournier’s findings that dead people were issued $150 million in Puerto Rico Nutrition Assistance Program (NAP) benefits between 2017 and 2024. “

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Rhode Island announced criminal charges against Felipe Almonte Polanco for allegedly plotting to use stolen identities to fraudulently obtain SNAP benefits.

The indictment alleges that between October 2021 and April 2026, Polanco made balance inquiries on Rhode Island EBT cards associated with the stolen identities of at least 18 individuals and personally used cards issued in the names of at least nine victims. During the execution of a search warrant at Polanco’s residence, investigators recovered multiple EBT cards and materials used to create identification cards. The scheme resulted in Polanco receiving approximately $69,000 in fraudulent SNAP benefits.

If Vance runs for President in 2028, a campaign calling card could be the anti-fraud task force’s work as Vance pitches himself to voters as a responsible steward of the taxpayers’ dollars.
