Sean Hannity Mocks Mamdani’s Victory With Frank Sinatra Song Parody

Zohran Mamdani is the toast of the Democrat Party.

But all that attention isn’t necessarily a good thing.

And Zohran Mamdani never saw Sean Hannity’s latest stunt coming.

As American Patroit Daily reports:

Mamdani campaigned on government-run grocery stores, free buses, free childcare, and massive new taxes.

Heading into the election, many business leaders in New York worried that capital would flee the city rather than live under the thumb of a Marxist.

Fox News host Sean Hannity announced last year he fled New York for Florida many because of the high taxes.

Speaking at the annual Fox Nation’s “Patriot Awards,” Hannity told the crowd he predicted many New Yorkers would follow in his footsteps because they shared his apprehension about what “Marxist commie Mamdani” as Mayor of New York meant.

“I knew comrade Marxist commie Mamdani was going to win. I knew. So one night, I have insomnia I can’t, I don’t sleep very well,” Hannity began.

To illustrate his point, Hannity read aloud his version of the opening to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” to poke fun at the disaster Mamdani portended for New York City.

“One night I get up and I’m thinking, all right, how am I going to deal with this? You know, what can I do? And so I started thinking, Frank Sinatra, New York, New York. Now, I go, I Google it, I print it out, I rewrite the words to this – one of the greatest songs that honors New York of all time. I’m going to need your help because I can’t sing to save my life,” Hannity added.

Hannity then led the audience in singing his version of ‘New York, New York” which played off the opening line of “Start spreading the news; I’m leaving today.”

Sinatra’s version was about someone looking to hit it big in New York, Hannity’s lyrics referenced frustrated residents driven out of the city by high crime and taxes.

“Start spreading the news; I’m leaving today,” Hannity said as the crowd sang along, “No longer wannabe a part of it, high taxed New York. These commie Mamdani blues are longing to leave; right to the very heart of it, bye-bye, New York.”

Conservatives contend that Mamdani’s win means Democrats can no longer dance around the fact that they are the party of socialism.

And while Sen Hannity was having fun, Hannity believes New Yorkers will suffer for their decision to elect Mamdani as Mayor.
