Democrats never break ranks in public.
So when they turn on each other in the media, you know it’s panic time.
And Nancy Pelosi dropped the hammer on Joe Biden in an attack no one saw coming.
Joe Biden suffered another cognitive failure during the State of the Union when Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene challenged Joe Biden to say the name of Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student killed by an illegal alien whom Biden had released back into the country in September of 2022.
Biden tried to seize the advantage in the border debate by showing he took the matter seriously and saying Riley’s name.
Except Biden flubbed his line and called Laken Riley “Lincoln Riley,” who is actually one of the top college football coaches in America.
“Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal, that’s right. But how many of thousand of people [are] being killed by legals,” Biden shouted. “To her parents, I say my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself.”
Most Americans considered Biden getting Riley’s name wrong just another warning sign that his senility is growing worse.
Meanwhile, Democrats were up in arms over Biden’s comment for a different reason.
Appearing on CNN after the State of the Union, Nancy Pelosi attacked Biden for calling Riley’s killer an “illegal.”
“Madam speaker, one of the clearly ad-libbed moments was during the section about immigration,” CNN’s Dana Bash asked Pelosi.
Pelosi complained that Biden should have referred to the illegal alien who murdered Riley as “undocumented.”
“Now he should have said undocumented, but that’s not a big thing, ok? What’s the big thing?” Pelosi responded.
Democrats and the media use sanitary euphemisms like “undocumented” because it makes it sound like illegal aliens are in the country because of a paperwork mix-up and it’s really no big deal.
Pelosi’s response forced Bash to follow up with her original question.
“I actually wasn’t even gonna ask about that,” Bash stated. “I was just gonna ask more about the moment. But you do think that he should have said undocumented? That wasn’t going to be my question.”
Pelosi then switched it up and said Biden handled the moment well and showed sympathy for the family.
“Well, we usually say ‘undocumented.’ He said ‘illegal.’ I don’t think it’s a big deal. I don’t think it’s a big deal because I think his focus was on the sympathy for the family. It’s a terrible tragedy,” Pelosi declared.
“It’s a terrible situation that anybody losing a child or a family member. It’s a terrible situation, but I think he handled it well,” Pelosi added.
Riley’s family didn’t think Biden was showing sympathy.
In fact, her mother was downright enraged.
Riley’s mother, Allyson Philips, called Biden “pathetic” for insulting her daughter’s memory by getting her name wrong.
