MSNBC Guest Praises Donald Trump’s Foreign Policy

MSNBC viewers expect a steady diet of Trump hate.

But what they just saw left them stunned into silence.

And an MSNBC guest just said the unthinkable about Donald Trump.

As American Media Watchdog reports:

One of President Trump’s signature achievements in his first term was being the first President in 40 years to keep America out of any new wars.

Trump promised to be the peace President in his second term.

And in the first year his new term, Trump ended eight wars.

MSNBC – recently renamed MSNBC – guest Jonathan Guyer, the program director for the Institute for Global Affairs, praised Trump’s unconventional approach to foreign policy as the y to his success.

Instead of leaning on swamp diplomats, Trump trusted envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner to negotiate with foreign leaders.

Guyer admitted this approach racked up results.

“I think the establishment in Washington has something to learn from Trump’s unconventional diplomacy, totally breaking diplomatic precedent,” Guyer said. “Look at his diplomats. I call them cowboy diplomats — Jared KushnerSteve Witkoff — They have no experience. And yet sometimes they get stuff done,” Guyer stated.

Host Catherine Rampell carried the leftist flag for her viewers and accused Kushner and Witkoff of conflicts of interest.

“Witkoff’s son is running around the Middle East trying to pitch deals to to potential investors. Jared Kushner, same deal. He got $2 billion from the Saudis even before Trump came into office again,” Campell stated. “So I take your point that they’re unconventional and they’re doing something different. But how do we know that they are actually operating in the country’s interest, as opposed to the interest of their own wallets?”

Guyer said the fact that the Trump team doesn’t care about playing by the establishment’s rules is why Trump succeeded in ending the war in Gaza whereas Joe Biden and Kamala Harris sputtered for over a year in failing to end the conflict.

“On the other hand, they just don’t care,” Guyer continued. “They’re willing to talk with Hamas, lift sanctions on Syria, stop a bombing campaign in Yemen when it’s not working. They are not following the rules. And I think there are some upsides to that, even though we should be highly critical of them also, breaking all of the ethical strictures that have basically been definitional for U.S. officials over time.”

Trump also took a tough line with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while Biden and Kamala were afraid to tell Netanyahu no.

Panelist Elise Jordan tried to attack Trump’s handling of the Ukraine war with the tired whining about Trump being pro-Russia.

Guyer waved off those complaints, saying Trump moved the ball closer to peace, whereas Joe Biden and Kamala Harris could never get Russian President Vladimir Putin to the negotiating table.

“But at the end of the day, President Biden wasn’t able to bring these two sides to the table,” Guyer declared. “And there may be a silver lining by getting a line to [Vladimir] Putin, a line to Russia.”

“You’re going to need hard-nosed diplomacy to get to the finish line. But I do think it’s a good thing we’re talking with Russia because that’s the first step here,” Guyer concluded.
