The woke mob tried to cancel Megyn Kelly.
But Megyn Kelly refused to back down.
And now Megyn Kelly got revenge on the liberal media in this unbelievable way.
As Liberal Hack Watch reports:
A revolt by the woke mob inside NBC News got Megyn Kelly fired.
Kelly jumped to NBC from Fox News in 2017 with fanfare and a three-year $69 million contract.
The liberals inside NBC were furious with having to share the airwaves with Kelly.
It was only a matter of time until Kelly got the boot.
After NBC fired Kelly, it looked like she had nowhere to go as Fox News wouldn’t take her back as she was seen as both disloyal and anti-Trump.
Kelly struck out on her own and told Semafor that it was conservative pundit Ben Shapiro who suggested she get into podcasting.
In 2020, Kelly began her own media company.
And then everything exploded.
Kelly now boasts one of the top ten podcasts in America.
The show is so popular on social media that Kelly’s YouTube channel draws more views than major broadcast networks.
“Kelly boasts that despite the fact that she only has six staffers, she has managed to get numbers that put her in the range of the accounts of legacy media outlets. The Megyn Kelly Show’s YouTube channel, which has 2.3 million subscribers, had 116.8 million views in July — more views than the official channels for NBC News (78 million) CBS News (83 million), Sky News (87 million), the BBC News (72 million) and CNBC (17 million),” Semafor reports.
Kelly told Semafor that her show is popular on YouTube because people are used to watching her on TV and that her ability to tell a story with facial expressions and hand gestures is what makes her relatable to the average American.
“On-camera is how people are used to getting their news from me, so it likely feels familiar,” Kelly told Semafor. “I am also half Italian, half Irish, so if you choose to watch the show, you will definitely glean something from the hand gestures and facial expressions that you might not always pick up on from listening alone. With the news what it is these days, sometimes an eye-roll, forehead slap, or pen-throw is absolutely required.”
The success of Kelly’s show – along with other conservative media ventures like Shapiro’s “Daily Wire” – is one of the biggest stories of the 2024 election.
An April NBC News poll found Joe Biden leading Donald Trump 52 to 41 percent among Americans who got their news from the mainstream media.
Trump led Biden 47 to 44 percent among digital media consumers.
These poll numbers illuminate both the loss of influence of the legacy media outlets and why they are now more openly partisan in favor of the Democrats.
Americans now have alternative sources of news so the constant attacks on Donlad Trump from the press don’t register as a growing swath of the public opted out of that news ecosystem.
But the audience that remains is increasingly liberal – Biden led by 11 points with this cohort despite trailing Trump nationally – so outlets understand they need to service this audience by reinforcing their beliefs.
