The Southern Poverty Law Center is a left-wing activist group that the media pretends is a civil rights organization that studies domestic extremism.
Every year, the Southern Poverty Law Center produces reports declaring right-wing groups, politicians, and causes as “extremists.”
Democrat politicians and the media seize on this list to censor conservatives online and target them with lawfare.
FBI Director Kash Patel unveiled a bombshell announcement alleging this was all a sham, as the Department of Justice indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center on 11 counts, it paid informants $3 million to infiltrate right-wing groups and create the “extremism” the group would then claim was domestic terrorism, so Democrats could then crack down on conservatives.
“They used the FRAUDULENTLY raised money by lying to their donor network—THOUSANDS of Americans—to go ahead and actually PAY the leadership of these supposed violent extremist groups.
“Furthermore, our investigation revealed that the Southern Poverty Law Center—on TOP of perpetuating this widespread decade-long multimillion-dollar fraud—conducted more criminal activity,” Patel said at a press conference announcing the charges. “They attempted to HIDE their criminal activity from our financial banking network.”
Patel alleged that the Southern Poverty Law Center set up a series of shell corporations to funnel money so no one could trace the funds used to pay these informants.
“They set up shell companies and entities around America so that the financial institutions that we rely on as everyday Americans were DECEIVED in believing that money was NOT coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center in the perpetration of this scheme and fraud, but rather fictitious entities they stood up to perpetuate this ongoing fraud,’ Patel added.
During the Biden administration, the FBI and Department of Justice claimed that white supremacy was the number one domestic terror threat facing the United States.
The Biden FBI and Justice Department used the Southern Poverty Law Center’s work as evidence of this claim, leading to a massive crackdown on Trump supporters and conservative political groups.
Now, the FBI is alleging this was all a sham, and the Southern Poverty Law Center funded the groups it later claimed were domestic extremists.
