The Epstein files produced a steady drop of bombshells.
Even Democrats can’t deny how bad major party figures look.
And Jon Stewart annihilated Bill Clinton for this sick Epstein link.
As American Media Watchdog reports:
Bill and Hillary Clinton posted a letter to social media declaring that they would refuse to comply with a House Oversight Committee subpoena ordering them to appear for testimony in an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.
The letter cast the Clintons as true victims of the investigation into Epstein and of Donald Trump’s weaponized government.
“Every person has to decide when they have seen or had enough and are ready to fight for this country, its principles, and its people, no matter the consequences. For us, now is that time,” Bill and Hillary’s letter read.
Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane more than 20 times.
Epstein visited the Clinton White House at least 17 times.
The batch of Epstein files showed pictures of Clinton frolicking in a swimming pool with bikini-clad women.
Even liberal media figures weren’t buying what the Clintons were selling.
Daily Show host Jon Stewart ripped the Clintons for thinking they were above complying with a federal subpoena.
“I absolutely do. But why should they comply if the Department of Justice is not complying with releasing the files? Like, is compliance a kind of specialized individual indigenous opportunity or should it be universal?” Stewart began.
“I mean, the Department of Justice has subpoenaed them to testify in the Jeffrey Epstein case while not complying with releasing the files, so how does that comport in any way — but do I personally think they should comply? Abso-f****-lutely, absolutely. And if they’ve got something to hide, nefarious, yes, we should know about all this. This is bonkers how long this is going on,” Stewart added.
Stewart added that what was important was that the Epstein victims finally receive justice.
“Absolutely, they should comply, and the Department of Justice should comply, and these victims of this heinous case should finally get some of the justice and peace that they deserve, for God’s sake,” Stewart concluded.
From the outset of this scandal, the source of the American people’s outrage was the belief that there was one set of rules for the rich and powerful and another for everyone else.
Epstein escaped prosecution for years because of his wealth and connections.
Individuals who socialized with Epstein could count on their activities remaining secret because of their power and status.
The Clintons’ refusal to comply with a federal subpoena stood out to even Jon Stewart as a continuation of the worst aspects of how elites believe they are above the law and above answering their connection to Epstein.
