Hakeem Jeffries and his fellow Democrats sought to drag President Trump through the mud.
But President Trump had backup.
And John Kennedy obliterated Hakeem Jeffries with this truth bomb.
As Conservative Reboot reports:
Democrats are trying to make hay out of President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran.
Jeffries ranted to CNN that the war was a distraction from affordability and a waste of money.
“The American people want us to focus on making their life better and making their life more affordable; not getting involved in another endless war in the Middle East that is going to end in failure,” Jeffries raged during an interview with CNN’s Kate Bolduan. “This administration somehow found the resources, has found billions of dollars for bombs, but can’t find any money to actually bring down the high cost of living here in the United States of America.”
Kennedy fired back in an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity.
Hannity played the clip of Jeffries, to which Kennedy responded, “We’ve already won.”
“He’s wrong. He’s wrong. We’ve already won,” Kennedy began.
The U.S. military decapitated the Iranian regime, sunk its navy, destroyed its nuclear program, and degraded its navy.
Kennedy echoed President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance in that the United States wasn’t fighting an endless war and that troops would withdraw as soon as the military achieved Trump’s objectives.
“We will eventually leave Iran after having destroyed their renewed efforts to develop a nuclear weapon, after having destroyed their missile arsenal, after having destroyed their missile launches, after having destroyed their Navy, and the good people of Persia will now have an opportunity to pick their own leadership. Hakeem is wrong,” Kennedy added.
A growing number of Republican Senators also expressed their hope that the war would wrap up as quickly as possible.
The War Powers Act requires a vote on military action 60 days after the President commences hostilities.
Establishment Republicans don’t want to go on record as having to vote in favor of the war.
Like Democrats, they want to hang Trump with the consequences if events go sideways, but publicly be able to say they supported the war if it ends in a decisive victory.
North Dakota’s Kevin Cramer told reporters that “in 60 to 90 days, we start losing our high ground legally … war fatigue is real, and it happens quickly.”
West Virginia’s Shelly Moore Capito expressed her unease with the fact that six American service members had already died in the conflict.
“We’ve now lost six members of the military. Loss of life is hard for us to take after the prolonged Afghanistan and Iraq situation … We can’t allow ourselves to lose. And so that begs the question, how long does it take to win? And I think that’s a question that we’re all asking,” Capito declared.
President Trump’s military campaign was a success.
But both Democrats and establishment Republicans are still hoping to derail him.
