James Carville is threatening to walk away from the Democratic Party over its socialist turn.
But one Fox News host saw an opening in his frustration.
And Laura Ingraham stunned everyone by inviting James Carville to defect straight to the GOP.

The Democratic Socialist of America (DSA) takeover of the Democratic Party is the biggest political story of 2026.
Establishment Democrats like James Carville are growing concerned that outwardly anti-American and Marxist candidates endorsed by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and podcaster Hasan Piker will cost Democrats the election.
In an interview with Fox News, Carville zeroed in on Piker, who said in the past that America “deserved” 9/11, and declared that the Democratic Party wasn’t big enough for both of them and someone had to go.
“I am not going to be in the same party with Hasan Piker, I can tell you that right now,” Carville stated. “If he becomes a force in the Democratic Party, I’m out of here. I have no intention of ever being in the political party with that guy.”
Carville warned that the DSA platform, which called for the government takeover of private business, was communism, and embracing it would lead his party to electoral ruins.
“I think that a majority, an overwhelming majority, of Democrats agree with me,” Carville added. “But this idea that we’re going to seize the means of production… just go look at the DSA platform. You don’t have to look any further than that.”
Laura Ingraham discussed Carville’s threat to quit the Democratic Party on her show and used the example of Democrat Socialist Francesca Hong, who is cruising towards the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in Wisconsin, as the poster child of the left’s extremist turn.
Hong has called for banning the Thanksgiving holiday, claiming it promotes colonialism and white supremacy, a position that led Ingraham to declare Hong a “blithering idiot.”
“She’s an avowed socialist with a reported history of mental illness, including bipolar disorder — we hope she’s getting treated — but she has a TikTokable campaign zing, and all the kids are crazy about it. This woman is cruising to the gubernatorial nomination, but she’s a blithering idiot,” Ingraham stated.
But the DSA grows stronger every day as its candidates win more primaries, leading Ingraham to invite Carville to join the Republican Party as part of an anti-DSA coalition to stop a Marxist insurgency from seizing power in America.
“The socialists have momentum. It is only a matter of time. The Democrats are going to become a socialist party. It’s gonna happen unless the sensible Democrats do more than appear on podcasts and cable shows and start just standing for sanity. So, instead of fighting with the types of people who watch The Ingraham Angle, Carville and other Democrats who oppose socialism should join our effort to turn the GOP into a party that is rebuilding the American middle class. Turn to us. The question is, how many more are there like them in the Democratic Party who will join to defeat this scourge?” Ingraham added.
But Carville will likely never take Ingraham up on this offer, let alone leave the Democratic Party over the growing DSA influence.
Many Democrats’ only problem with the DSA is that they are open about their intentions instead of lying to the voters about how they are supposedly “reasonable moderates.”
