Donald Trump Fires BLS Commissioner After Inaccurate Jobs Reports

Donald Trump’s catchphrase is “you’re fired.”

Someone just heard those two words.

And Donald Trump fired the one person that no one ever thought was possible.

As American Patriot Daily reports:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the July jobs report, showing the economy created just 73,000 jobs.

This report came just one day after the Federal Reserve chose not to cut interest rates after the economy grew at a rate of three percent in the second quarter and job growth remained steady.

But the big bombshell in the July report was that the number of jobs created in May and June was revised down 258,000, or 90 percent.

President Trump had had enough and fired the Biden-appointed Commissioner of Labor Statistics, Dr. Erika McEntarf, accusing her of politicizing the jobs numbers.

“I was just informed that our Country’s ‘Jobs Numbers’ are being produced by a Biden Appointee, Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the Commissioner of Labor Statistics, who faked the Jobs Numbers before the Election to try and boost Kamala’s chances of Victory,” Trump wrote.

In March 2024, the Bureau of Labor Statistics admitted the Biden economy was fake and revised job creation down by 800,000 jobs.

President Trump claimed the Bureau of Labor Statistics tried this trick again before the 2024 election.

“This is the same Bureau of Labor Statistics that overstated the Jobs Growth in March 2024 by approximately 818,000 and, then again, right before the 2024 Presidential Election, in August and September, by 112,000. These were Records — No one can be that wrong?” Trump added.

Trump correctly stated that the government needs accurate job numbers because that is how policymakers at the Federal Reserve and elected officials choose courses of action to keep the economy strong.

“We need accurate Jobs Numbers. I have directed my Team to fire this Biden Political Appointee, IMMEDIATELY. She will be replaced with someone much more competent and qualified. Important numbers like this must be fair and accurate, they can’t be manipulated for political purposes,” Trump  continued.

Had the May and June jobs reports accurately shown just 33,000 jobs created combined, the Federal Reserve likely would have cut interest rates in July, which would have made obtaining home mortgages more affordable and would have stimulated further economic growth by making it cheaper to borrow money.

President Trump slammed the Bureau of Labor Statistics for putting out inaccurate jobs reports that stymied his push for the Fed to lower interest rates.

“McEntarfer said there were only 73,000 Jobs added (a shock!) but, more importantly, that a major mistake was made by them, 258,000 Jobs downward, in the prior two months. Similar things happened in the first part of the year, always to the negative,” Trump stated.

Trump noted that the Fed was playing political games by keeping interest rates high during his Presidency when Fed chairman Jerome Powell slashed rates in September 2024 in the hopes of juicing the economy to boost Kamala Harris’ chances of victory.

“The Economy is BOOMING under “TRUMP” despite a Fed that also plays games, this time with Interest Rates, where they lowered them twice, and substantially, just before the Presidential Election, I assume in the hopes of getting “Kamala” elected – How did that work out? Jerome “Too Late” Powell should also be put “out to pasture.” Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump concluded.
