Nothing is going right for Kamala Harris at the tail end of the 2024 election.
The worst news was yet to come.
And these ugly new poll numbers will cause Kamala Harris to burst into tears.
As the home stretch of the 2024 election kicked off, Kamala Harris found herself hit by a barrage of bad news and poor poll numbers.
Pennsylvania is the critical tipping point state.
Pundits, campaign operatives and election forecasters all believe that whoever wins Pennsylvania is going to win the election.
And the sense of doom is spreading on the left thanks to a new Franklin and Marshall poll showing Trump leading Kamala Harris 50 to 49.
This is a four-point swing to Trump from their last poll.
30 percent of respondents found personal finances were the number one issue for Pennsylvania voters.
Trump led Kamala Harris 48 to 42 percent on the economy.
“All those contextual things are bad news for Democrats,” rector of the Center for Opinion Research and the Floyd Institute for Public Policy at Franklin and Marshal Berwood Yost stated.
Donald Trump also surged to the lead in national polls.
The Wall Street Journal’s bombshell new poll showed Trump leading Kamala Harris by three points, a four-point reversal from the Journal’s last poll.
Kamala Harris’ inability to answer basic questions about what she would do as President as well as the Trump campaign’s effective television ads tying Kamala Harris to the failures of the last four years on crime, immigration and inflation tanked Kamala Harris’ favorable numbers by eight points where a majority of Americans now hold a negative view of her.
“Views of Harris have turned more negative since August, when equal shares of voters viewed her favorably and unfavorably. Now, the unfavorable views are dominant by 8 percentage points, 53% to 45%. Moreover, voters give Harris her worst job rating as vice president in the three times the Journal has asked about it since July, with 42% approving and 54% disapproving of her performance,” the Journal reported.
In an ominous sign for Democrats, a majority of Americans now have a favorable view of Donald Trump.
“By contrast, views of Trump have turned rosier. Voters recall his time as president more positively than at any point in this election cycle, with 52% approving and 48% disapproving of his performance in office—a 4-point positive job rating that contrasts with the 12-point negative rating for Harris,” the Journal also reported.
And much of the Franklin and Marshal poll of Pennsylvania, Americans give Donald Trump a decisive edge on the economy.
“Moreover, voters give Trump a solid edge in most cases when asked about the candidates’ agendas and policies. By 10 points, more voters have a favorable than unfavorable view of Trump’s economic plan for the country, while unfavorable views of Harris’s economic plan outweigh positive views by 4 points,” the Journal’s report continued.
There is no good news and no silver linings in these polls for Kamala Harris and the Democrats.
And with less than two weeks to go before the election, the level of anxiety on the left is only going to rise.
