AOC Poised to Seek Higher Office

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks she is the future of the Democrat Party.

Ocasio-Cortez knows there is only one way to prove it.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has her eyes set on running for this office in 2028.

As Great American Digest reports:

When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez entered the House of Representatives in 2019, it was clear she wasn’t going to be a lifer.

Ocasio-Cortez has her eye on bigger and better things.

And now it looks like Ocasio-Cortez is picking between challenging Chuck Schumer in a Senate primary for the ages in 2026 or running for President in 2028.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her team are positioning her to run for president or the U.S. Senate in 2028, according to people familiar with her operation,” Axios reported.

Ocasio-Cortez has held events up and down the state of New York, an odd move for a Congresswoman from the Bronx unless she was planning a Senate run.

The left is furious at Schumer for losing battle after battle to President Trump, and a Data for Progress poll shows Ocasio-Cortez leading Schumer by 19 points.

Axios reported that Ocasio-Cortez’s calculation about leaving the House of Representatives to run for the White House or Senate will come down to the polls and her desire to see the socialist left represented in the Presidential field.

“Some close allies believe that even if Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t think she could win, she may want to run for the White House to ensure that the Democratic Party’s progressive wing is represented in the primary — just as Sanders did in 2016 against Hillary Clinton,” Axios reported.

Ocasio-Cortez’s own actions show she may have made up her mind already to run for President.

Kyle Tharp of the website Chaotic Era, which covers social media and politics, reported that Ocasio-Cortez was in the top tier of politicians spending on social media ads to raise money.

“Her team has spent more on digital advertising than almost any other politician in 2025, and as a result, they have brought in hundreds of thousands of new small-dollar donations,” Tharp told Axios.

Tharp also revealed that Ocasio-Cortez’s social media following exploded to 36 million followers across all platforms.

“She’s also seen record-breaking organic growth on social media, adding several million new followers across Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, X, and Facebook,” Tharp added.

Reporter Lachlan Markay added additional context to Ocasio-Cortez’s social media spending that pointed in the direction of a Presidential run.

Markay posted on X that 93 percent of Ocasio-Cortez’s Facebook spending went towards ads that excluded Ocasio-Cortez’s Congressional District.

The only reason to build a national donor file is because you are planning a national campaign.
