Barack Obama just crawled back out of the shadows with a message for his party.
After years of letting the woke mob torch America’s history and drive voters straight to Trump, he’s now telling Democrats to put a patriot mask over the same radical agenda.
And the strategy he just handed them ahead of the midterms is something every conservative needs to see coming.
As Great American Digest reports:
Democrats let the woke mob seize control of the steering wheel in 2020 and drive the party into a ditch by 2024.
The left offended tens of millions of Americans by ranting that America was a systemically racist nation, its history was evil, and its founders were oppressive.
Wokesters turned tearing down statues into a sport and infiltrated classrooms to brainwash students with critical race theory.
President Trump’s landslide re-election win resulted as much from a backlash against the Democrat Party’s anti-American turn as it did from inflation, the open border, or transgender ideology.
As his Presidential library opens, Barack Obama re-emerged just in time for the run-up to the midterm election, to nudge Democrats back into pretending they love America.
Obama’s advice to Democrats was to straddle the line.
“I do think it’s important to ground. What happened during my presidency in this broader sweep of American history, and as I said before, you know, this idea that, you know, on the right and you see this in the Trump administration, this idea that any suggestion or criticism that America was anything other than perfect is unpatriotic, is a suggestion that you hate your country, is a suggestion that you hate your country. Now, the flip side is among progressives, sometimes there is this sense of, well, the only true narrative of America is this one of oppression and exclusion,” Obama stated.
Obama positioned himself as standing between the Trump vision of America and the woke left trashing the country at every turn.
“And I reject both those views. I think it’s complicated. As I said, I think it’s possible to celebrate the founders and appreciate what they did, as well as look objectively and critically at how their values strayed very far from what they professed,” Obama added.
Obama’s advice to Democrats was that they can still scream and yell about how America is a racist and evil country, but that they can package it between paying lip service to pretending to love America, so they can disarm any skepticism voters might have about their motivations.
“I think it’s impossible to say that there were populists in rural America and the South and white America that really did believe in equality and justice for white folks and helped to make progress in giving more people opportunity, and not ignore the fact that that was to the exclusion of others. And that’s the kind of complexity that I hope people get a little bit of a sense of. You want people to actually marinate in that when they visit your center,” Obama concluded.
