Trump Begged Republicans to Be Bold. RINOs Betrayed Him Anyway

President Trump couldn’t believe what just happened.

Trump received the worst news at the worst possible time.

And that’s because Trump begged Republicans to be bold. RINOs betrayed him anyway.

As Swamp Digest reports:

In Louisiana v. Callais, the Supreme Court ruled that the Voting Rights Act did not force states to discriminate based on race by drawing majority-minority districts.

Democrats exploited unlawful racial gerrymanders to steal as many as 20 seats in southern red states.

Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, and Louisiana immediately moved to draw need maps to eliminate the unconstitutional racial gerrymanders, which eliminated Democrat-held seats.

South Carolina Republicans proposed a new Congressional map that would have eliminated the illegal racial gerrymander that allowed Democrat Congressman James Clyburn to remain in Congress and shifted South Carolina to a 7-0 Republican Congressional delegation.

With Democrats needing to win just four GOP-held seats to snatch away the majority in the House of Representatives, every illegal racial gerrymander Republicans can wipe out narrows Democrats’ path to the majority.

President Trump called on South Carolina Republicans to pass the new map in a post on Truth Social and fight back against the Democrat scheme to rig Congressional maps in their favor through gerrymandering and counting illegal aliens in the census.

“The South Carolina State Senate has a big vote tomorrow on Redistricting. I’m watching closely, along with all Republicans across the Country who are counting on their Elected Leaders to use every Legal and Constitutional authority they have to stop the Radical Left Democrats from destroying our Country, including leveling the playing field against their decades of egregious Gerrymandering and Census Rigging,” Trump wrote.

“South Carolina Republicans: BE BOLD AND COURAGEOUS, just like the Republicans of the Great State of Tennessee were last week! Move the U.S. House Primaries to August, leave the rest on the same schedule. Everything will be fine. GET IT DONE!” Trump added.

But when it came time for the vote, South Carolina State Senate Majority Leader Shane Massey sandbagged the President.

Massey is one of the “institutionalist” RINOs who thinks that Democrats will play nice and fair if Republicans do.

In a floor speech, Massey claimed South Carolina was already gerrymandered.

“I said earlier that if the U.S. House goes to a Democratic majority, it won’t be because of South Carolina. That’s because we are already heavily gerrymandered. We are the most gerrymandered Republican state in the country already, and we did that intentionally. There have been celebrated changes in Florida over the last week,” Massey whined.

Massey claimed the other Republican states that redistricted were just catching up to South Carolina.

“Those celebrated changes in Florida got them to where we are now. Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court allowed Alabama to use a map that it had passed but had been previously stopped by the courts. Yesterday, they allowed Alabama to use the map they had passed before. Alabama also has seven Congressional districts. That map would allow Alabama to use a 6-1 map. The U.S. Supreme Court decision allowed Alabama to do what we have already done,” Massey added.

But Massey betrayed his true motives as a RINO when he said it was a good thing for Democrats to win elections in South Carolina.

“Republicans are stronger when the Democratic Party is vibrant and viable,” Massey added.

Five Republicans then joined Democrats in voting against the new map, killing the redistricting effort, since it needed a two-thirds majority to pass.

Establishment RINOs like Massey desire to keep Democrats competitive because they secretly support the Democrat agenda, and if Democrats retain a large enough minority, that’s fewer Republican arms to twist to go along with bills that please donors and special interests, but which infuriate conservatives.
